They took three months to send me my package. I had to remind them several times, and has eventually given up hope when they suddenly updated the status to ready to ship.

I'm really sorry that there was a delay in shipping your parcel, I believe it was held for a time so we could establish if there was any outstanding duty and taxes owing seeing as the parcel was imported to the UK from an EU country.

I do agree that this timescale is too long so please be assured we are reviewing our procedures on how we handle these type of issues.

forward2me now have an address available to our customers in Germany, this address has been made available so our customers can purchase goods from countries within the EU and not incur any issues with customs clearance or duty and taxes.

I used your German forwarding service to the USA. Though speaking to you by telephone was not readily doable, I found that email communication was sufficient for my purposes. I requested that the contents of my packet be inspected at your German warehouse to determine correct product identification before it was shipped to me in the USA. This step was carefully and promptly done accurately. My merchandise arrived in perfect, excellent condition despite its fragile nature. Your services are reliable, organized and timely performed despite the shipping demands and document requirements imposed upon your customers by the German authorities.

This was my first time using a forwarding service and I was a little hesitant. The process went super smoothly though. I was notified within 24 hrs that my package had arrived and was provided shipping options. The cost was about what I expected (which is not cheap shipping from the UK to the states). Package arrived quickly and repackaged well by forward2me. I would definitely use their service again for international purchases that cannot be shipped directly to me!

I’ve used Forward2me twice now to order Krüger dirndls from Germany to the U.S. Awesome service and fast shipping. I was wary at first because I was unfamiliar with the company, but I took a chance and everything went smoothly with my orders. Their customer service is excellent and very helpful in explaining what I needed to do and answering all my questions. I used their German warehouse. So glad I found a way to order the dirndls I really wanted for local Oktoberfest fun! Prost! :)

The item I imported was charged very high taxes in my home country (an extra 20%). This was my first time buying something from the UK (I normally buy from the US) so I was shocked with the extra taxes

Hi there,Many thanks for your feedback. All shipments are dispatched through our services as 'Delivered Duty Unpaid' with all the couriers. We don't allow additional local duties and taxes to be paid in advance, within the shipping costs, through our company, because we do not yet have the approved accreditation to carry out the customs clearance, through our services, and calculate the duties and taxes for the goods in advance. It is the courier agencies, such as Fed Ex, DHL and UPS, who have and use their own customs clearance departments to calculate the import taxes and duties that would be owing for our customers shipments from UK warehouse to the destination country and the additional import duties and taxes owing for a shipment to the destination country would be charged as a separate fee by the relevant courier service prior to delivery. Unfortunately local import duties and taxes do vary from country to country and will be based on the declared value of the goods in the shipment plus freight costs.I hope this clarifies your queries and please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns.Kind RegardsHayley
