Amazon and eBay are marketplaces where independent sellers ship your order, so how your address is handled differs from a single-brand store. The biggest difference is on eBay, where you usually can't change the address after you've bought – so enter your forward2me address correctly before you order. Here's how for each of their main sites.
How Amazon and eBay Handle Addresses Differently
- eBay – get it right the first time. Sellers must ship to the exact address on the order to stay protected, so most won't change it after purchase. If you ask, they'll usually cancel the sale, refund you, and have you re-order with the correct address. Double-check your forward2me address and ID before you buy.
- Amazon – editable before it ships. You can update the address from your Orders page before the item enters shipping. Even so, enter it correctly from the start – and don't choose an Amazon Locker or pickup point, as your order needs to go to your forward2me warehouse address.
- Keep your ID on the label. Both sites may suggest a "standardized" version of your address that removes your Suite/ID number – always keep your ID (see the per-store notes below).
Amazon Germany
Include forward2me as the recipient, so shipments aren't returned to sender. Some German sites won't accept the name with the "2" in it – if yours doesn't, enter forwardtome instead as a workaround.

Amazon US
Our US warehouse is in Delaware, a state with no sales tax – so you won't be charged US sales tax on your Amazon purchases.
eBay US
If eBay offers a "Suggested Address" that removes your Suite/ID number, decline it and choose "Use address as entered", so your ID stays on the label.
Amazon Japan
Amazon Japan sometimes shortens long names. If your ID won't fit in the name field, make sure it's clearly visible in the Address Line 2 or Company Name field.
