Using the forward2me Phone Number for Online Stores

1 min read

Some online stores ask for a phone number when you register or check out – and some lock the field to the local country's format, so you can't enter your own overseas number. You can use the forward2me number in these cases, but there's an important limitation to know about.

When You Can Use Our Numbers

Some stores require a phone number to register or complete checkout, and restrict the field to the local country's format. For example, a UK store might only accept a UK (+44) number, so you can't enter your own overseas one. In cases like this, you can enter the local forward2me number for that country to get past the field.

Each of our warehouse addresses – UK, US, Germany, Guernsey, and Japan – comes with its own local phone number. To find it, open your shipping address in your account; the phone number is shown there alongside the address.

What Our Numbers Can't Be Used For

The number isn't monitored, so you won't receive anything sent to it – no SMS, calls, verification codes, or one-time passwords (OTPs). If the retailer sends a code you need to enter, asks for account confirmation, or needs to contact you directly, use your own personal contact details instead.

Please also be aware that some retailers have restrictions on third-party purchases or forwarding addresses, which can prevent an order from being completed.
