followup service was great by email, but cost prohibitive when shipping to Australia
Had brought a $40 rug/throw online but didn't know the weight so unable to clearly estimate the cost of shipping. Also did not realize it was going to be shipped express, would have been happy to wait for it if shipped slowly, which is what happens from USA, cheaply

Hi,Many thanks for taking the time to review our services.I'm pleased to hear that you are happy with the contact you have had with us however disappointed to hear the cost of shipping was more than expected.We do work on a regular basis with our couriers to offer the best price possible to our customers and the price of shipping does include the use of the address, the acceptance, processing, storage and dispatch of your goods including any export documentation required for shipping.The cost of shipping is calculated based on the amount of space the shipment takes up rather than the actual weight, unless the actual weight is higher than the volumetric weight. On this occasion the volume of the parcel did exceed the actual weight so the cost of shipping was based on the higher volumetric weight.We do offer our customers the combine and repack option, for this service our warehouse team evaluate the package to see if they can reduce the overall size of the goods to help save on shipping costs. Limited options for freight, all being too costly, especially as speed was not an issue.
Hi,Many thanks for taking the time to review our services.I'm sorry that you feel we offered limited options for shipping, we do offer services via DHL, UPS and TNT to your country and see that you did choose the cheapest service to your country for the package within your shipment.Shipping costs are calculated on the amount of space the package takes up in transit when shipping by air, I do see that the actual size of your package was fairly low however the volume was higher, this means the cost of shipping for your shipment was charged on the higher volumetric weight.We do offer a combine and repack service which you may wish to look at next time you ship, we evaluate your package to see if the goods can be repacked and reduced in size so you reduce the overall shipping cost. I do use parcel forwarding companies to buy from various countries and save on shipping back to Greece .
Forward2me is the one I chose to use in UK , and they have been quite professional until now.
They aren't particularly cheap though , comparing it to other services I have used in other countries , so I'm searching for something cheaper.
But they do their job right , that's for sure.

This is the first time I used the forward2me service. Actually the first impression is very satisfying. The account dashboard is very informative and easy to use. The package processing is very fast (I'm not doing any additional process though. Just receive and forward).
The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the lack of affordable courier services. They do have an Untracked Budget Service (which is a cheap Royal Mail service) but this seems really not reliable (I also trying using this service for £10, and still waiting for my package in the dark without any tracking number). In the end I'm ended using DHL (the least expensive options for £30), and all going smoothly until I get my package 5 days later (actually 3 days to arrive in my city, but Indonesian DHL Agent is very slow).
I hope, in the near future, forward2me can provide more affordable service in the price range of £20 even tough it will cost the delivery time. Because I'm sure there are many customer that can deal with long transit time but value the cost of shipping.
For now, I'll set forward2me aside, and try another forwarder in UK to see if there are forwarder that provide better affordable service.
P.S : I'm just reviewing and criticizing about the cheapest available options in forward2me. If anyone is having no problem with price, I think forward2me is the best option of forwarding services you have in UK.

I love being able to shop in other countries, without the enormous prices of international shipping, that is usually offered/available from the site you’re ordering from! The shipping still isn’t cheap though, when you take customs expenses etc. into consideration.
They prepare your package in no time, and ships quickly. My packages always arrive on time!

My insured package was never received and my issue has still not been resolved

Hi,Many thanks for providing us with your feedback however I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the final shipping price.Unfortunately we cannot determine the size and weight of parcels that arrive with us, sometimes UK retailers shipping within the UK ship goods in larger boxes than necessary as they are generally charged on the weight of the item rather than the size.In these sort of cases we do offer our combine and repack service where our warehouse teams can evaluate if the box can be reduced and repacked so the customer can obtain the maximum value for shipping.I see this service wasn't chosen when shipping so going forward if you decided to use our services again in the future this may be cost effective for you.Generally shipping small low value items may not always be cost effective, lots of our customers choose to purchase a number of items then repack them in one box to make shipping more cost effective for them.I hope this information explains how shipping costs are calculed and how shipping can be reduced with the combine and repack service.I also hope that you will re-consider using our services again in the future, if you have any further questions please contact our Customer services team at info@forward2me.com and they will be happy to help you further.Kind Regards,Tracy.
