Cross Border is our lower-cost shipping option that uses the postal network, so delivery and tracking work a little differently from an express courier. This page answers the two most common questions.
How Your Cross Border Shipments Are Delivered
Your shipment is moved from our warehouse by FedEx for the first stage of its journey, then handed to the postal service in your destination country, which completes the final delivery. So the courier that brings your package to your door is your local postal service, not a private express courier.
If Your Tracking Status Isn't Updating
Cross Border shipments travel as part of a larger master carton for the first stage of the journey, so tracking won't update frequently at the start. Your tracking begins to update once your package is taken out of the master carton and scanned as an individual shipment.
Because the service uses the postal network, it's slower than express couriers and has fewer tracking scans along the way — so if your tracking is quiet for a while, there's usually no cause for concern. Please allow plenty of time before expecting regular updates.
For transit times, weight and value limits, and everything else about the service, see our Cross Border page.
