Registering Your Account: What Addresses Are Accepted

1 min read

When you sign up with forward2me, we require a valid residential or business address as your account address.

What Address to Provide

Please register with the actual physical address where you live, or where your business is legally registered. This becomes your default delivery address, so it must be a real location a courier can physically reach.

Your account address is used for:

  • Default Delivery: Couriers often need a physical location where someone can sign for the parcel upon arrival.
  • Identity Verification: Matching your account details to your payment method (such as your credit card or PayPal).
  • Billing: Calculating accurate, applicable taxes or administrative fees.

Why We Require This

We must legally verify the true identity and physical location of our customers to prevent fraudulent activity and comply with international trade regulations. Providing an accurate, verifiable address helps avoid your account or shipments being delayed or canceled.

Addresses That Aren’t Accepted

Your account address must be a genuine physical location. It cannot be:

  • Another package- or mail-forwarding service
  • A commercial mailbox (e.g. UPS Store, Mail Boxes, etc.)
  • A PO Box

A forwarding service or PO Box cannot reliably receive standard courier deliveries, accept hand-signed packages, or be verified against your payment identity details.

Note: We also do not forward parcels to another forwarding service as a final destination. You can read more about this in Delivery Destinations and Address Requirements.

How to Fix Registration Errors

If the sign-up form is rejecting your address, please ensure you are entering a standard physical street address (not a PO Box, commercial mail agency, or another forwarder) and try again.

If We Need to Verify Your Address

If your registration address flags as a forwarding service or a PO Box, we may place your account on hold and ask you to confirm your details. To reactivate your account, we will usually request:

  • Proof of Address: A utility bill or bank statement showing your physical residential address.
  • Proof of Identity: A government-issued photo ID.

Providing an accurate address when you sign up is the easiest way to avoid this verification step.
