If there is more than one carrier to choose in Guernsey warehouse, it will be awesome. DHL is expensive. FedEx is a better choice.

Cost of delivery is bizarrely high. Most online retailers can deliver from UK to Australia for less than one twentieth (yes 5%) of the amount charged by forward2me. The cost of the forward2me service was also far higher than than the estimate provided by their website before I chose to go ahead.

The cost of shipping is based on the size and weight of the the package this is called volumetric weight and most couriers will charge on the volumetric weight.
The fee quoted by us is not just a shipping fee this includes the forwrd2me service. This includes accepting the package, recording the details, storing the parcel until you are ready to ship and preparing all the necessary shipping documents plus customer service assistance.
Also please take into account that when a retailer quotes a shipping fee this is not the actual shipping costs they are subsidising the shipping cost from the purchase you have made.
With regards to our price calculator, this is accurate, however, this can only quote on the information you input. The parcel we received for you has a weight of 0.55kg and dimensions of 23x19x5 if you go to our pricing page https://www.forward2me.com/pricing/ and input this information you will see that the price quoted matches the price we charged for shipping

The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and TNT) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight.
I have checked your shipment and on this occasion the volumetric weight is higher than the actual weight so the shipping fees are calculated on the higher volumetric weight.
Many retailers in the UK do ship parcels in boxes which are much larger than necessary for the contents due to couriers shipping domestically charging on the actual weight rather than the volumetric weight.
For this reason we do offer our combine and repack service, the aim of the service is to reduce the size of the package and in turn reduce the shipping cost. If you choose to use our service again, I would advise that you submit the package for the combine and repack service before shipping

Easy to set up. Delivery time as expected. Cost of delivery for a small item is relatively high, and the post-Brexit import taxes apply to the value of the item PLUS the delivery costs so only makes sense for high value items that do not delivery directly to Ireland

Good service. Unfortunately, they make a photo of the package solely of one side - with the address of the mailbox and not of the sender. Thant is not much helpful. And changing information about the package is quite complicated.
