If your USPS tracking shows your package as "delivered" but it hasn't appeared in your account yet, don't worry — this is a known delivery update issue with how USPS scans packages, and it usually resolves within a few days. Here's what's happening and what to do.
Why It Shows “Delivered” Before It Reaches Us
USPS sometimes marks a package as "delivered" when it reaches a sorting facility in their network, rather than at the point it's physically handed over to our warehouse. Because USPS doesn't always scan again at our address, there can be a period where the tracking shows "delivered" but the package hasn't yet been checked in and added to your account.
During this window, the package can be difficult to trace, as the "delivered" status doesn't reflect where it physically is.
How Long the Delay Usually Lasts
The gap is typically a few days — often around 3–5 — though it can be longer during peak periods. With most other couriers, packages are usually added to your account the same day the tracking shows delivery (excluding weekends and holidays).
What to Do If Your Package Is Delayed
If your USPS package hasn't appeared in your account after about 5 days, you're welcome to contact our Customer Experience team. Before we can start a search, please provide:
- The original purchase invoice from the retailer, so we know exactly what we're looking for, and
- The USPS tracking number showing the "delivered" status, including the date.
We're unable to search without this information, and we can only trace tracked packages — so choosing a tracked service is important.
How to Help Avoid This
Choosing a fully tracked shipping service gives the clearest visibility of your package's journey and makes it much easier to trace if anything goes wrong. If your retailer offers a choice of shipping methods, a tracked service is always the safest option. If they don't, it's worth contacting them to ask what tracked options might be available.
