Some items can't be shipped with forward2me at all, and others can only be shipped under certain conditions. Knowing the difference helps you avoid delays or a package being held.
Prohibited vs Restricted
- Prohibited items can't be shipped under any circumstances.
- Restricted items may be shipped, but only under certain conditions — with the right documentation, certain couriers, or to certain destinations.

What Happens and Your Options

| Prohibited (never allowed) | We can't legally ship it. | Return it to the retailer (if they accept returns), or dispose of it — we can arrange safe disposal, sometimes for a fee. |
| Restricted (may be allowed with conditions) | Our Customer Experience team checks the rules for your carrier and destination. If the item breaches those limits, we'll hold it. | Ship it if possible (for example, a battery inside a laptop, or a small perfume bottle), return it to the retailer if it can't ship, or dispose of it if there's no return option. |
