A pallet shipment moves goods that are secured onto a pallet and handled with freight equipment such as forklifts or pallet trucks. forward2me offers pallet shipping for heavier, larger, fragile, or high-value goods, or when several packages need to travel together. It provides greater stability in transit and reduces the risk of damage compared with standard package networks.
Pallet shipping is arranged as a freight service, with the route and carrier chosen to suit your shipment — so it's quoted rather than booked at a standard checkout. Contact us for a quote before you ship.
Services We Offer
We offer a range of pallet shipping solutions worldwide, including door-to-door and door-to-airport/port services, depending on your destination and requirements. Shipments can travel by road, air, or sea freight, with the most suitable option chosen based on factors such as destination country, transit time, shipment size, and delivery requirements.
We work with a network of international freight and pallet carriers. The carrier used depends on the destination, service type, and shipment requirements. Some services operate on a business-to-business (B2B) basis only, while others support both commercial and residential deliveries where available.
How Pallet Deliveries Are Made
Pallet deliveries are usually made curbside, using tail-lift vehicles or loading equipment — the driver delivers to the nearest accessible point outside the property. The receiver is responsible for unloading the pallet unless prior arrangements have been made.
Residential delivery is available in some regions, depending on the carrier and service selected. Because of limited access or handling requirements, residential deliveries may need a tail-lift vehicle and can incur additional charges. Business addresses with loading bays or forklift access are generally more suitable for pallet deliveries.
Customs Clearance
Pallet shipments are handled through freight networks and may require additional documentation compared with standard package shipments. Depending on the destination, you may need to assist with customs clearance or appoint a third-party customs broker — particularly for air or sea freight and door-to-airport/port services.
ISPM15 and Repacking for Export
For international transport, wooden pallets and crates must be ISPM15 compliant — heat treated or fumigated, and stamped to meet international export regulations. ISPM15 is an international standard for wooden packaging used in global trade, designed to prevent the spread of pests and diseases through untreated wood.
Sometimes goods arrive on pallets or in wooden crates that are fine for domestic use but not approved for export. If a pallet isn't compliant, we transfer the goods onto an approved export pallet or repack them using compliant materials, so the shipment isn't delayed, rejected, or held for treatment by customs authorities.
