Multi-Piece Shipment (MPS) lets you send several individual boxes to the same destination under a single master tracking number, without repacking them. How MPS Works
Instead of opening your boxes and repacking them into one large carton, we leave your items in their original boxes and group them digitally:
- Master label: all boxes are grouped under one master shipping label.
- Child labels: each box gets its own label linked back to the master.
- Unified tracking: you track one number to see the status of every box.
MPS is available through select couriers — usually DHL, UPS, and FedEx. When you get prices in your dashboard, the system shows which carriers support MPS for your items.
The 15-Package Limit
You can include up to 15 packages in a single Multi-Piece Shipment. This limit keeps boxes handling efficiently and reduces the risk of individual boxes being misrouted at courier sorting hubs.
If you have more than 15 packages, you can either:
- Use Combine & Repack to merge smaller items into fewer, larger boxes, or
- Split your items across two separate Multi-Piece Shipments.
When MPS Is a Good Choice
- Keeping original packaging — best for collectors or high-end items where you want the retailer's or manufacturer's boxes kept intact.
- Managing weight — repacking many heavy items into one box can exceed courier weight limits (often 30kg or 70kg). MPS keeps them as separate, manageable pieces.
- Fewer base fees and one set of paperwork — each box is still weighed, but you save on per-shipment base fees and manage a single customs declaration.
Good to Know
- Not all couriers support MPS. Your dashboard shows which carriers allow it for your shipment when you get prices.
- Customs declarations. Even under one tracking number, every product line across all boxes must be declared accurately for customs.
- Insurance. If you add Protect+ Insurance, coverage applies to the total declared value of the whole Multi-Piece Shipment.
