How to Include or Exclude the Shipping Cost from the Commercial Invoice

1 min read

Customs in your destination country may or may not require the shipping cost to be included on the commercial invoice. You can control this in your forward2me account.

How to Change the Setting

  1. Go to My Profile.
  2. Open Profile.
  3. Choose My Addresses.
  4. Select a shipping address and click Edit.
  5. Tick or untick the Show shipping price box.

Important Considerations

Please be aware that:

  • Customs authorities may require the actual shipping cost when assessing duties and taxes.
  • Customs may request additional documentation to verify shipping charges, even if they aren't shown on the commercial invoice.
  • Hiding the shipping cost is done at your own discretion.
  • Choosing to omit it may lead to customs delays, requests for further documentation, or other clearance issues, depending on the destination country's regulations.

We Can't Guarantee Customs Acceptance

Customs requirements vary by country, customs office, and shipment type. Whatever you choose, the final decision on clearance, valuation, duties, and taxes always rests with the destination country's customs authorities.
