Failed Delivery Attempt: What to Do

1 min read

If your tracking shows a failed delivery attempt or says the warehouse was closed, here's what it usually means and what to do.

My Courier Says the Warehouse Was Closed — What Happened?

Our warehouses keep standard operating hours, so during those hours a delivery can normally be completed. The only time a warehouse would be genuinely closed is a state of emergency or similar — in which case couriers generally wouldn't be delivering either.

Occasionally a courier records a failed attempt or redirects a parcel to an access point without a delivery being completed. If your tracking shows a "failed attempt" during our working hours, it usually reflects something on the courier's side rather than a closure at the warehouse.

What to Do After a Failed Attempt

Contact the courier (for example UPS, DHL, or DPD) with your tracking number and ask them to:

  • Reattempt delivery to your warehouse address.
  • Confirm the address details — including the correct warehouse suite or ID number — to prevent it happening again.

If the Parcel Isn't Redelivered

If a redelivery isn't arranged, the courier will usually hold the item for a set number of days (typically 7–10) before returning it to the sender. Once it's returned, you'll need to coordinate with the sender to have it shipped again.

Contacting the Courier

As the recipient, you have the most authority to request changes to a delivery, so contacting the courier directly with your tracking number is usually the fastest way to resolve it.

If your parcel has been left at a pickup point or locker, see Parcel delivered to an access point.
