I'm pleased to hear that overall you did have a good experience whilst using our services however found shipping prices too high.
We do feel that we offer a good value for money service with full Customer support from the receipt of your parcel to the delivery, we offer a UK address, receipt, process, store and dispatch your goods overseas and the fees paid also include all export paperwork required.
The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and TNT) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight.
I see that you did not take advantage of our combine and repack service which may be useful to you next time you ship to us, this service aims at reducing the overall size of a parcel to ensure that the goods are both safe for international shipping and that the customer obtains the maximum value for shipping.

Reason:
On the 22nd June 2020, I purchased a package forwarding service from Forward2Me.
They claim that the services they offer are reliable and competitive. I paid £36.71 22nd June 2020 (for shipment

After buying the service the package was never delivered, despite being at home during lockdown (Email 1.). The package was returned to Forward2Me.
On the 17th of July Forward2Me acknowledged that this was due to an error UPS had made and thus not delivered to me and instead sent back to Forward2me (Email 2.)
They did not offer a refund or to give a repeat service for free thus being forced to paying again for the same forwarding but now more expensive ( Email 3.) (shipment 15928109013191608). I had no choice to make this payment in order to avoid using the faulty UPS service and to get my shipment safely home. No alternative was offered by Forward2me.

After dispatching your initial shipment I see that you contacted UPS directly to change the delivery address on your shipment to a UPS Access Point. Unfortunately this access point was closed at the time due to the CV19 situation and UPS asked you to provide them with an alternative address for delivery. You did not respond to this request therefore UPS had no choice but to return the package after a period of time due to the goods being undeliverable.
UPS charge us for the return of parcels therefore due to the current difficulties relating to CV19 we offered to pay these charges as a one off gesture of goodwill.
We feel that this was the right thing to do to help you out however due to the work involved with originally processing and shipping this parcel, helping arrange the return of the goods and reprocess we were at a considerable loss. Therefore we did not feel that we were unreasonable asking you to pay for the new shipment as this issue was not down to the fault of forward2me.
When a parcel is shipped we provide the customer with the tracking details so they can follow the progress of the shipment and contact UPS if there are any issues with delivery.
I hope you understand our reasoning behind this and that we feel we have done our very best to support you in this situation.

The service was very good my only criticism was that it would have been nice to be able to have a choice of courier services. I was not happy with the one that was available.

Great service! I was really nervous to try something like this, however they exceeded my expectations. Shipping was incredibly fast and the price was decent. I will definitely be using them in the future.

Shipped perfectly from London to California without any hassle. The store did not have any shipping options to the US so this was the best alternative to get it shipped to me!

The service is good but the shipping cost is horrendous! We paid £33 for a small empty box (to transport a record player arm). I think there should be an option to send my Royal Mail. Also when they send you notification that the parcel has arrived at their warehouse, they require further info about it before they can take payment. The problem is that it’s not made clear what they want. I eventually worked it out that they need the cost of the item and a copy of the order form (for Australian GST requirements).

Shipping costs do include the use of the address, the acceptance, processing, storage and dispatch of your goods. This includes full support of our customer service team from the receipt to the delivery of your goods.
We aren't able to compete with companies such as Amazon as our business is shipping whereas they make their money on the sale of goods. We do offer a budget untracked service for small very low value parcels however due to a issue with collection of GST with the mail service we are unable to offer the service to Australia.
Since the Australian government have introduced the collection of GST for low value imports we do need to ask for proof of purchase for goods as we need to ensure we are charging customers the correct fees for Goods and Service Tax on the value of the goods. We are however looking to make this process easier for our customers in the coming year.
I hope this helps explain the service you received and that this is for a complete service and not just the fee for onward shipping.

I see that the item you received was a prepaid card, as a rule we do not permit our customers to use their account for financial products however we do make an exception for prepaid cards which have no credit facility attached to them.
Due to this being a financial products we need to be very careful to ensure we are shipping a card to the correct person so have extra procedures in place to check the customers identity before shipping the card onwards overseas. We need to also ensure that the country in question also permit this kind of import.
These extra checks do take sometime and therefore an additional charge is applied to the shipment for the work involved.

I'm sorry that using our services proved more expensive than expected, as you say we are providing a service versus retailers/suppliers making their money on the actual sale of the product itself.
We do feel that we offer value for money for the service offered, I see that you also opted for a premium express service however we did also offer an economy service which would have cost a less.
