Many thanks for taking the time to review our services however I'm disappointed to hear that you found the cost of this service too expensive.
We do check our prices with our competitors on a regular basis and found that we are very competitive for the service we offer. We are different from large retailers who offer shipping at either cost or a loss in some cases, these retailers cover their processing costs with the sale of the product.
Forward2me offer a full service, we offer a UK address for you to receive your goods from retailers, we accept your parcels, process them to your account, store then until you are ready for shipping, pick and prepare them for shipping and produce any export paperwork require for shipping. We also provide premium door to door services with full customer support for tracked deliveries from the receipt of your goods to delivery in your home country.
I hope this helps explain what is included in the fee paid, we feel we offer value for money and hope you will look to use our services again in the future. Many of our customers take advantage of our free 30 day storage period to collate a number of parcels in their account to ensure that they obtain maximum value for shipping.

Many thanks for your feedback however I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service we offer.
I see that the contents of your shipment was alcohol, we do need to follow a different process for these types of shipments as we require approval for shipping with the courier. When shipping alcohol customers are asked to contact Customer Service so we can check that we can ship the alcohol legally to your country, then have the goods repacked so they are safe for international transit.
I'm sorry if this process took a little longer than you expected and you found the process complicated however we need to always ensure that we comply with the courier regulations before going ahead with shipping. It's disappointed that you felt that we overpacked the goods but we need to comply with the couriers guidelines on repacking, if we don't they would hold us responsible for any breakages.
Shipping costs are calculated on the amount of space the shipment takes up in transit, this is called the volumetric weight. When alcohol is repacked this can mean that the parcel increases in size which can also make shipping costs higher however our main aim is to ensure that the goods are received in good condition.

I'm sorry to hear that your box arrived damaged however pleased that the goods inside were undamaged. I see that you did not take advantage of our combine and repack service and the goods have been shipped out in the original shipping box. We do offer the combine and repack service before shipping, this service both helps with ensuring your goods are packaged as securely as possible and helps reduce the package removing any excess volume so you obtain the maximum value for shipping.
We are happy to remove invoices at request and have made a note of this on your account for our team to action this on arrival of your goods however if an invoice is present we do add this value to the package for shipping as the true value of the goods is required for customs purposes.

Please be assured that we do work with our couriers on a regular basis to ensure that we offer the best value for our customers however we are unable to compete with other companies who either sell products, these companies often provide shipping at cost or at a loss seeing as their costs are covered with the sale of the goods, sometimes our competitors also charge a monthly or annual fee.
The cost of shipping includes the full service we offer, the use of the address, the acceptance, processing, storing and dispatch of your goods including any export paperwork required for shipping. Using the address is free of charge and we offer 30 days free storage to give our customers time to collate a number of orders and ship together obtain the maximum value for shipping.
We do feel we offer a premium service both with our fully tracked door to door services and the support our Customer Service team provides customers from the receipt of the goods to the delivery via a tracked service.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel our service is overpriced, we do pride ourselves on offering the best service possible alongside value for money shipping.
The price paid for shipping not only includes the transit costs but also the use of the address, the acceptance, processing, storing, preparation for shipping and any export documentation required for export. We offer full customer support from the receipt of your parcel until delivery for all tracked services.
I hope this helps explain what is included in the fee, I'm afraid we can't compete with larger retailer sites who offer cheap shipping, these sites cover their costs in the sale of the products, due to forward2me offering a service we need to cover the cost of the service in the final shipping fee.
We also offer an account free of charge and don't add a monthly or annual fee like some of our competitors. A free storage period is also offered up to 30 days to allow customers to collate goods in our warehouse so they can obtain the maximum value for shipping.
I hope this information all helps to clarify how we calculate our shipping costs, we do work with our couriers on a regular basis to ensure that we can offer our customers the best possible shipping prices however due to the pandemic situation many budget couriers have been unable to offer a lower priced shipping options this year due to the lack of air space. We are hoping these services will get up and running again in 2021 and we can then offer a more varied courier option.
