I’ve used Forward2me twice now to order Krüger dirndls from Germany to the U.S. Awesome service and fast shipping. I was wary at first because I was unfamiliar with the company, but I took a chance and everything went smoothly with my orders. Their customer service is excellent and very helpful in explaining what I needed to do and answering all my questions. I used their German warehouse. So glad I found a way to order the dirndls I really wanted for local Oktoberfest fun! Prost! :)

The item I imported was charged very high taxes in my home country (an extra 20%). This was my first time buying something from the UK (I normally buy from the US) so I was shocked with the extra taxes

Hi there,Many thanks for your feedback. All shipments are dispatched through our services as 'Delivered Duty Unpaid' with all the couriers. We don't allow additional local duties and taxes to be paid in advance, within the shipping costs, through our company, because we do not yet have the approved accreditation to carry out the customs clearance, through our services, and calculate the duties and taxes for the goods in advance. It is the courier agencies, such as Fed Ex, DHL and UPS, who have and use their own customs clearance departments to calculate the import taxes and duties that would be owing for our customers shipments from UK warehouse to the destination country and the additional import duties and taxes owing for a shipment to the destination country would be charged as a separate fee by the relevant courier service prior to delivery. Unfortunately local import duties and taxes do vary from country to country and will be based on the declared value of the goods in the shipment plus freight costs.I hope this clarifies your queries and please let me know if you have any more questions or concerns.Kind RegardsHayley

Quick, sent with DHL service, but Forward2me and DHL charged me for GST tax. So I've paid tax twice. If Forward2me use DHL they should inform them GST tax has been paid.

It is great to hear that you were satisfied with the delivery service with DHL for your alcohol shipment from our Japan warehouse.
I am sorry to hear that you have paid import taxes (GST) twice for your alcohol shipment.
I have looked into this issue and it appears that this was caused due to a processing error on our system when we originally booked your alcohol package into your account at the Japan warehouse.
Your package should have been marked correctly as 'Alcohol' on our system and a manual repack and shipment should have been processed by one of our customer service team on your behalf. Unfortunately because of this processing error our system has not been correctly notified that your package contained alcohol and our system had not removed the additional GST charges from your shipping invoice.
Because your package contained alcohol, once the purchase documents had been uploaded and approved, the GST should have not been applied to your final shipping costs . We are not required to recover GST from shipments that contain alcohol-this should only be recovered from the receiver once the shipment arrives at the Australian border.
Please accept our sincere apologies for this processing oversight.
I will send you a direct email today so I can request some copies of your custom invoices in relation to the duplicated GST charges paid. I am more than certain we can resolve this issue for you very quickly and ensure you are reimbursed for any unnecessary additional costs you have paid.

Quite expensive, but there was no other way to get the item I needed to Australia, so as a one off I didn't mind the expense. I couldn't justify the expense of doing this regularly. The whole process was smooth and fast, great communication.

Forward2Me was very helpful in receiving and consolidating my packages into one package for international shipping to the US. They also answered my questions regarding submitting FDA prior notice. The delivery arrived a day earlier than expected. The repacking service was great and my items (including formula for my baby) were repackaged perfectly so that the box and contents arrived very quickly without damage. I plan to regularly use this service and would highly recommend it today friends and family.

I have used forward2me twice now, from the UK to Germany. First time, my package arrived at 2 p.m., I got the info in my inbox at around 2.20 p.m. and the shipment was forwarded at 4 p.m. the same day. Second delivery arrived at 1 p.m., was in my inbox at 9 p.m. and was forwarded the next day. So far, I can only recommend forward2me. I've had speedy responses to my emails, and their service is top notch. I will definitely use them again!

Provided address from forward2Me in Guernsey/UK was not usable, even with extensive internet search (e.g. Google etc.), the provided address was not existent, therefore additional costs for customs and taxes applied, beside considerable time effort for checking and searching the provided address by forward2Me, not accepted by the vendor because of not existence; alternative UK shipping address with customs and taxes dues worked out, however all together not as promised, not as expected.

I see that you have had an issue with adding the address to a retailer site for delivery to the Guernsey address. This address is valid and is a physical address however I believe you could possibly have entered the latter three digits of the postcode incorrectly. I have tested this on the site and see that if you enter the postcode GY8 0DJ the address shows up as forrest house however if the latter 0 is entered as a letter O instead of the number 0 the address is not showing.
I'm sorry that we weren't able to resolve this at the time you contacted us and had to ship your goods to the UK mainland address which didn't give you the saving on vat that you had hoped.
I hope this suggestion helps going forward and that you are able to successfully enter the Guernsey address next time you are looking to ship to the tax free warehouse.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the shipping price for forwarding your goods to Australia from the UK. However I do have some suggestions that may help make using our services more cost effective.
I see that this was your first shipment with us and you did not take advantage of our combine and repack service. Many of our customers take advantage of our 30 day free storage period, purchasing from different retailers and once all the parcels have arrived arrange for them to be repacked together as efficiently as possible.
Shipping fees are based on the amount of space the shipment takes up in transit, this is called the volumetric weight. It is only when the actual weight of the goods is higher than the volumetric weight that the shipping fees are based on the actual weight.
Your shipment shows that the actual weight of the goods was 1.82 kg however the volumetric weight was 8.28 kg. It is possible that if you have chosen the combine and repack option we may have reduced the size (volumetric weight) of your package which may have significantly reduced the cost of shipping.
Please also take into account that we are not only offering a shipping service, we offer a free address to receive goods to our addresses, we accept, process and store the goods until you are ready for shipping and prepare the export paperwork for the shipment on dispatch.
