Unknown Shipment Details
They are claiming they have a "UK Tax Free" shipping option. This is NOT TRUE , after paying 140euros in shipping(only option). DHL still charged me extra Tax Fee's. I would not recommand this company for reshipping from uk.

We're sorry to hear that you feel that you have been lied to. The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and TNT) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight.
As we cannot see any communication between us and yourself, we can only assume that you have checked our price calculator, the price calculator is accurate but can only quote on the details you input.
Your package had dimensions of 24x11x8 with a weight of 0.2kg if you check this information on our price calculator you will see that the price quoted matches your shipping fee.

I had no problem having my orders sent to the UK warehouse and my packages were immediately uploaded to my account. Having my orders repacked and shipped was also very quick and I received my package to the U.S. in just a few days! I just wish the shipping costs were lower or given me an option to pay in my local currency.

I am sorry to hear you are disappointed in our available services for sending larger items, I believe you are referring to items that require palletising due to their size and weight.
Due to your destination country we can only offer an air freight service for forwarding pallets, we no longer offer sea freight due to the number of issues caused when shipping via this method. We understand this can increase the costs of shipping, however when looking at the bigger picture, this keeps our customers goods as safe as possible when shipping and helps avoid additional unexpected fees.
Regarding the replies from customer service, I am sorry to hear this has been taking longer than usual. When obtaining pallet shipment quotes it can take longer than usual due to it being more of a manual process, we cannot obtain these quotes through our site directly and must contact our external shippers. This extra step of communication can cause a delay and I do apologise if this caused you any inconvenience.

The price of forwarding a small item was disproportionately high as compared to other services.

All courier services will have a minimum package charge, from the UK this is only 0.5kg however shipping from Guernsey the minimum package charge is 5kg meaning that any package with a chargable weight of under 5kg will be charged at this rate.

The service is very efficient, easy to process and quick delivery. However, the cost calculator gives you different results/options to the options you get at the time of shipping. Accordingly you are basically left with expensive delivery options only

I have looked further into your concerns relating to the shipping services and available prices compared to what you are shown from our pricing page and what you are shown from your account when you process your final shipment and based on the final dimensions and weight of your package you were charged the correct shipping prices and available services for your package at the time of shipping.
I can only presume that you may have not filled out your full shipping address in Cyprus on the calculator page for the quote, that the wrong dimensions and weights may have been inputted by you at the time when you originally obtained a shipping quote from the cost calculator page on our website and then the package ended up being a lot bigger in size when it finally arrived to our UK warehouse for final shipping from your account which would have caused the differences in the shipping prices and courier services available to you.
I can see that the chargeable weight for your package that was shipped with TNT Economy would have been based on the volumetric weight (size) of the package (5 kg) rather than the actual weight of the goods in the package (0.82 kg) as this was the greater weight and this can also make a difference to the final shipping prices and available services offered at the time of shipping.
Please also note that volumetric weight, sometimes referred to as dimensional weight, is a measure used by couriers to set the price of shipping items which are large in volume but relatively light in weight. Volumetric Weight is what determines the price of the shipping service. Volumetric Weight is calculated differently by service. DHL calculate it by taking the volume (height*length*width) of a parcel and dividing it by 5000. DHL provide an online tool for calculating Volumetric Weight.
Combine and repacking may be a better option dependent on the size of the packaging and if there is a lot of room for it to be decreased as this will mean the volumetric weight has been reduced.
A service where we open all your packages and repack your goods into fewer, smaller packages. Where the Chargeable Weight has been determined by the Volumetric Weight it is a good idea to combine and repack your items into fewer packages to reduce costs and eliminate the risk of individual boxes going missing. We provide information to assist you in making this decision. Some services – e.g. DPD - do not charge for volume which makes them very cost effective for bulky items but they require everything to be in a single box. Combining and repacking is required before shipping multiple items with such a service.
