I must say the process for uploading documents and selecting a carrier were all very easy.

I am sorry to hear that you have discrepancies with the shipping price paid and the additional customs charges for your shipment.
I can see you did choose to send your package with the DHL Express air service and sending goods by air will always be a higher service cost than sending your goods by road.
Our shipping rates are reviewed each year, with each of the courier services, to make them as cost effective as possible based on the volume of packages that we receive and we do also apply our service charge to the overall shipping prices, with the couriers, as a percentage. Please be aware that it is a service that you are paying for through our company as well as shipping.
All shipments are dispatched through our services as 'Delivered Duty Unpaid' with all the couriers. We don't allow the additional local duties and taxes to be paid in advance, within the shipping costs, through our company, because we do not yet have the approved accreditation to carry out the customs clearance, through our services, to calculate the duties for the goods in advance. It is the courier agencies, such as Fed Ex, DHL and UPS, who use their own customs clearance departments to calculate the import taxes and duties owing for our customers shipments from our UK warehouse and any additional import duties and taxes owing for a shipment to the destination country would be charged as a separate fee by the relevant courier service prior to delivery.
This information is also available from section 8 of our terms of trade from the main website.
Unfortunately, local import duties and VAT calculated by your local customs department and the couriers is beyond our control and any discrepancies in the total costs cannot be reimbursed by us through our service. We are required to show the total shipping costs paid on the commercial invoice. All courier services that we use clear shipments through their own customs clearance departments, the clearance team need to be able to access the original shipping price paid to calculate the taxes against and to ensure the couriers do not use default shipping costs. However it is possible to remove the courier shipping costs from the commercial invoices by request from our customers, and this option can also be amended yourself directly from your account by going to your 'Profile' section and 'Addresses'. When you click into your 'Shipping Addresses' there is a check box option at the bottom "Include shipping price on commercial invoice".
However, removing this option may mean the couriers will use a default shipping price to calculate the duties and taxes owing which usually calculates higher in value than the actual shipping costs paid. Please be aware that as of 1st July 2021 the import VAT free buffer for shipments into the EU with a total declared value of £15.00/€22 or less no longer applies and all imports are now subject to EU VAT. Local duties and taxes are calculated from the commercial declared value of the goods in the shipment and also on the freight costs.
If your discrepancy is in relation to the total calculation of the import duties and taxes by for your shipment this would need to be resolved from destination with the courier.
We apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this has caused you but we do hope this issue will not deter you from using our services again in the future.

I am sorry to hear that you feel dissatisfied with our services and that you have received one of your items in poor condition to your address.
All damage or loss claims must be notified to us via email as soon as the shipment has been received so we can request the relevant images and documents from you that are relating to the goods in the shipment, so we can then proceed to determine liability for the damage and ensure we are still within the stated timeframe to be able to submit a claim to the courier if needed. All damage claims must be notified by us to FedEx in writing within 21 calendar days from the date FedEx accepted the shipment, failing which no action for damages may be brought against FedEx. I have checked the date that your shipment was dispatched from our UK warehouse up until the date of delivery and we should still be within the 21 days timeframe to submit a damage claim with the courier for your shipment if needed, once we have assessed the images of the damage to the packaging and to your goods in more detail. I will ask for one of my customer experience agents to reach out to you via email to request the required images and documents for a damage claim ready to escalate this issue to the FedEx couriers as soon as possible.

1. Every package is opened and in one case contents have been damaged by opening/cutting too roughly through the outer packaging. If you ever want to send delicate items that cannot be replaced/repurchased, forward2me might not be the right service for you
2. One package got lost for months reappearing several months later without comment
3. The carrier DHL managed to lose (call it theft) a package culpably while delivering just by depositing at the destination address without signature and personal contact. This is unbearable on its own. After having spent weeks with useless communiction with DHL I turned to forward2me in order to report loss and file a claim against DHL. Then I have just been offered a compensation of roughly 10% of the total value (import fees/taxes not even included). Although forward2me later offered a compensation of the value without import taxes/fees, I do feel my interests vs. DHL are not represented in the right way. As customer of forward2me I am not entitled to file a claim against DHL myself. So I depend on forward2me to represent my interests. forward2me gives impression having no interest in addressing my concerns to DHL. This way nothing will ever get better. The thief will feel encouraged to do it again. This is so bad. I am very annoyed.

Many thanks for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with our services. I have checked your account details and I can see this was your first shipping experience with our company and that you shipped your first order from our UK warehouse which would have meant you would have incurred duties and taxes due to the United Kingdom no longer being part of the European Union. All shipments that are dispatched through our service are sent as Delivered Duty Unpaid with the courier and we do advise that goods which are required to be sent through our service may be subject to import duties and taxes for international deliveries. This information and further details can be found from our terms of trade under section 8.2. We do understand that shipping from the UK to the EU is now more expensive than pre-brexit for this reason we have now opened a completely new dedicated warehouse in Germany. This is owned and operated by forward2me rather than a partner. We wanted to make sure our valued EU customers could still shop and forward packages within the EU in the same way they have been up until now. Our EU warehouse will offer the same benefits that our UK to EU warehouse previously did. The new warehouse address in Germany is up and running for our customers so they can start using the address straight away and continue to take advantage of shipping goods from other EU countries with no additional customs fees to pay. We hope the new Germany warehouse address will be of interest to you.
