Shipping fee too expensive. A rip off

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the price you have paid for shipping however we do feel that we offer good value for money for the service we provide.
The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and TNT) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight.
I see that your package although light in weight did have a larger volume so the cost of shipping was calculated on the actual volumetric weight rather than the actual weight. In these instances we do offer a combine and repack service to help reduce the volume of a parcel as much as possible however I see that you did not take advantage of this service on this occasion. Please contact our customer service team if you require further details on this service and we can assist you with the process.
We do work with our couriers on a regular basis to ensure that our customers are provided with the best value for shipping however during the current pandemic all our couriers have added an emergency surcharge which increased the price of shipping for our customers. Due to lack of air freight space this year with the decrease of passenger flights, prices have increased significantly and these surcharges have been put in place to help them cover these increases.
Please also bear in mind the price paid to forward2me is not just for the cost of shipping, we offer a free UK address, we don't charge any annual or monthly fees like many of our competitors, we accept, process, store and prepare your goods for shipping and include the processing of all export paperwork required. We understand some retailers offering shipping at a lower price however they have the advantage that they are covering their costs on the sale of the product, we need to cover all our processing costs within the final price.

I have used Forward2me many times before with excellent service, however this time around, due to an quantity error with the commercial invoice they created, there was a 3 week delay in customs on my package. I did receive a correction invoice very quickly from Forward2me, but they should check the commercial invoice before sending packages.

They are very trustworthy, customers service is good, enquires responded on time and politely. However, their website is not the most user friendly. Often does not explain what you need to do and just leave you in dark. Can be very frustrating.

Communication was exceptional. Delivery was speedy. Need more clear information regarding upload ‘documents’. Easier if it plainly stated a copy of the invoice. Costly service, thankfully free delivery to the warehouse. It cost me double the price to have my packaged forward to me but then again it arrived in four days.

Many thanks for your feedback however I'm sorry to see that you have reviewed us with a 1 star rating.
I believe the second hand laptop you purchased from eBay and shipped via our services had a damaged battery which was not visible to us on receipt of the goods. forward2me had no involvement in the purchase of the goods we simply provide a shipping service.
forward2me did pack the laptop so it was safe and secure for international transit however we have no control over defect goods and we feel that you need to go back to the seller to report this and obtain a refund.

They got my package and had it shipped to me in two days from England to Illinois in the US. Pricing was kind of expensive, but I got great and fast service from them, so I definitely got my money's worth. I also had an issue with my name since I signed up using my Google account, and they got that taken care of straight away. The customer service was excellent. I'll definitely use them again if I am in need of getting something shipped from the UK to the US again.
