I want to start by saying I find it awfully strange how many recent positive reviews sound all the same, have the same "tone" of voice in their text, same writing style/prose, and mention the SAME customer service agents by name. These are commonly used behaviors seen in incentivized reviews - not saying they are, but I find it strange. After being coerced myself, it is easy to see why.

After an incredibly distressing experience with Forward2Me, involving misleading service offerings and coercive tactics, I finally received a full refund. However, this came with a clear intent from the company to have me delete my initial negative review (coercion is against Trust Pilot’s policies, which they have been reported for). They have also specifically targeted my previous review, reporting me for including a customer support agent’s name but not reporting any other of the suspiciously similar reviews that includes names (also against TP policies to target one person). These tactics of acting underhanded and resolving issues only under the threat of public exposure is manipulative and not a mark of a trustworthy company.

Initially, their site offered multiple shipping options including a seemingly affordable Forward2Me Lite service. However, when it came time to ship my package, all of a sudden, the only option available was an exorbitantly priced DHL service. The quoted price - around 100 £ BP which is even more in $ USD, was higher than DHL's own rates listed on their website!!! Royal Mail (which they call their Lite service), UPS, Fedex, and cheaper DHL options are non-existent but will appear as available if you estimate a quote before-hand, and they charge arbitrary DHL fees that are high priced. Consider listings on websites where the item appears cheap but the shipping fee is high to make up for it -- that’s what this company does, and it is deceptive. ***They draw you in with cheap service fee quote but the service fee is actually in the high cost of shipping once they have your item and you're stuck.***

I was told that despite fitting the advertised weight requirements, my package's "volumetric weight" was too much. This feels deceptive; their policy prominently advertises weight limits but downplays box volume constraints, which seems designed to catch customers off-guard. ~~~~~~~!~~~~~~~NOTE: I PUT THIS SAME VOLUMETRIC INFORMATION into my quote and it showed tons of shipping options, which were no longer there once they had my package! So whatever response I'm sure they'll leave back to me about volumetric weight is gaslighting nonsense, because the quote beforehand shows other shipping options possible but they ONLY offered DHL after having my package hostage. It is insanely predatory and clear gaslighting! ~~~~~~~!~~~~~~~ They also don’t allow UK-to-UK shipping or warehouse pickups, so no use considering hiring an individual to pick it up from the warehouse ship for cheaper. There are some people who repack on Fiverr for cheaper, and I regret not choosing this instead. Save your money and use an individual instead as a proxy service, or at least another company.

The customer service lady was nice and responsive at first, but things turned sour fast. After posting a 1 star review, a customer service representative contacted me, offering "one-time courtesy" Lite Shipping if I reconsidered my negative feedback (first coercion - against TP policy). This came after my items were repackaged without my consent, a clear violation of my rights as a customer - keep in mind they could be held liable for this in court, please know your rights. Despite agreeing to these new terms, the company then reneged on the Lite Shipping offer, proposing a DHL discount code instead, which at first did not work and was more expensive than what was promised. Yet she not only refused to help further, but also went as far as targeting/flagging my review for mentioning her name that is mentioned in other reviews. Petty and unprofessional. This series of actions—repacking my goods without permission, failing to honor agreed terms, and attempting to manipulate my review—highlights the unethical practices of this company. If you have your item stuck with them, just return to sender, do not proceed. Nevertheless, I did proceed further, using the code (that was now working) and paid over 50 USD for shipping but planned to report them to my bank and Action Fraud in the UK. Because I was refunded, I did not need to do so. But I was ONLY refunded under terms of deleting my 1st review. If they do the same to you, you're allowed to create a new review & report them! Keep proof! Know your rights!

I believe you are looking to ship with Forward2Me Lite service however, the package you are shipping is not eligible with this service.

Upon receiving your package in the UK, we noted that it weighed 1.89kg and measured 52 x 37 x 18 cm in dimensions. Prior to shipping with us, did you consult our pricing calculator using these exact weight and dimensions? If the weight and dimensions is not the same when you enter them on the pricing page versus the package we received, then the shipping cost will vary. The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and TNT) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight. I see on this occasion the volumetric weight is higher than the actual weight so the shipping fees are calculated on the higher volumetric weight 6.9kg.

I'd also like to provide you with information regarding the terms and conditions associated with shipping using Forward2Me Lite and Lite X. These services are designed for packages that meet specific criteria:
Package Weight: The package must weigh less than 2 kilograms.
Overall Dimensions: The package's combined length, width, and height must be less than 90 centimeters.
Maximum Value: The contents of the package should have a maximum declared value ranging from £50 to £100, depending on the specific budget service you choose.

Combine and Repack is not available for packages being shipped with either Lite or Lite X service.
These services are ideal for individuals looking to ship smaller and lighter items with a limited declared value. We can offer our Protect + cover for loss and damage through the forward2me Lite X tracked service up to a total declared value of £100, however if protect + is not opted, forward2me is not liable to compensate for this service.

Please also note there is no tracking available with forward2me Lite and this service does not offer any compensation for loss or damages. Once the package has been dispatched we are not able to advise on when or if the parcel will be delivered as this is shipped through the regular domestic postal services.

I see on this occasion the volumetric weight 5.92 kg is higher than the actual weight 4.58 kg so the shipping fees are calculated on the higher volumetric weight.

Customer service is always quick and helpful.
One time, I used their personal shopper service but my item got sold out, a refund was processed promptly afterwards.
Another time, I used their forwarding service, but I no longer need the item so I ended up request a “return to seller”. The return was also smooth and free of charge.
The experiences have been so nice even though I didn’t pay anything yet.

Ordered an item to the UK address of forward2me in Preston, Lancashire. Every customer is given a specific address which the parcels should be sent to. Unfortunately, Royal Mail was unable to find this address because the house number was completely illogical and does not exist in the street. The parcel has therefore been sitting in redelivery since January. forward2me's customer service has not been helpful. The sender of the item has not been helpful either, as they've received their payment and don't care whether it arrives. I, as the recipient, can't file a complaint to Royal Mail either, as this is only possible for the sender. As a non-UK resident, I can't exactly drive to the Preston post office either. Would not recommend.
