Over the years, I have used the services of many shipping companies, so I know well how international shipping usually works and how much it costs.
Forward2Me charged €153 to ship a power station from Germany to the Czech Republic simply because the battery capacity exceeded 100 Wh. Other shipping companies charge an average of €15-40 to ship the same model. The difference is shocking and completely unjustified.
I even offered a simple and reasonable solution: I would create the shipping label myself, and they would simply hand the package over to the carrier. They refused without any real explanation. This makes it clear that the problem is not security or regulatory requirements, but their pricing policy.
This whole situation is like forcing me to overpay significantly, without any flexibility and without focusing on the customer. I expected professional service, but instead I got strict rules and prices that are completely out of line with the market.
I strongly recommend comparing prices with other freight forwarders before using Forward2Me. Personally, I will no longer use this service.

Had something shipped from Forward2me's USA address to my address in the UK and I must say, the whole process was an absolute breeze. Logging into your profile on their site allows you to follow your package's progress from start to finish. They even include photos. As for their prices, I knew I'd be paying a bit extra, which was fine by me. They give you a selection of quite a few delivery options with varying prices. I went for DHL and I couldn't be happier. Package arrived within 2 days.

Incorrect labelling of packages as "battery" and "dangerous goods" for which I am now having delays in shipping and delays in servicing my customer. The item is powered by usb cable and without any knowledge the company needs to update it's policies to reflect correct labels on products it is receiving for its customers. This is a complaint. Update 06/02026 my items have been delt with very quickly.

UPDATE (RESOLUTION):
Following my review, Forward2Me contacted me, I was informed that part of the communication gap was due to the original support agent being out of the office, and so communication resumed once another manager intervened.
I can now confirm that the full compensation has been paid, including both the value of the lost item, and the shipping cost, which was refunded separately a day afterwards after i had asked.
To be fair, part of the overall delay was due to the UPS investigation and claims process, which took time to complete before the refund could be issued. Once the claim was finalized the refund was eventually processed and paid.
While I appreciate that the matter is now resolved financially, I still believe communication during the refund process could have been clearer, particularly regarding timelines.
I have updated my rating to 4 stars, as the matter was ultimately resolved. I would consider using Forward2Me again, but I hope communication and transparency during claims can be improved in the future.

After waiting for two months patiently a shipment handled through Forward2Me was declared lost by UPS after a full investigation. UPS approved the claim and paid the compensation to Forward2Me. From that point onward, the responsibility was entirely on Forward2Me to release the refund to me.
That is where the problem began.
Despite the claim being closed and paid:
Forward2Me failed to issue my refund
Repeated follow-ups were ignored, Emails went unanswered, There was no clear timeline, no transparency, and no accountability,
Throughout this process, I have been nothing but polite, patient, and cordial in all communications with this company. Despite this, communication stopped entirely once the money was involved.
At this stage, Forward2Me is holding funds that do not belong to them, with no justification and no response. From a customer’s perspective, this feels indistinguishable from having money withheld without consent,
What makes this worse:
The loss was not disputed
The claim was approved
The money was already paid by UPS
Yet the customer is left chasing their own refund
This is not a logistics issue — it is a trust and ethics issue.
If you use Forward2Me, understand this clearly:
If something goes wrong and compensation is involved, you may have to fight to get your own money back.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this service to think twice.

I want to start by saying that when they repacked my shipment from eBay, they packed it very well, maybe even excessively (not even considering the item was purchased broken). My frustration is from details mentioned in other reviews, which seem to still exist, but now have a higher rating?
My biggest issue is the pricing. Initially the shipping estimate was fairly low, but throughout the process the price kept increasing. My package arrived at their warehouse and I received the free single photo, which was useless. It was blurry and only showed the shipping label and a part of the box. You have to pay extra for more photos. Then I was notified it had to be repacked for a $3 fee. In the details as to why it had to be repacked, it was blank. They gave a blurry photo and no explanation; I don't like this 'trust me bro' kind of service. Also, the shipping estimate before repacking was a range of $48-$52, but when it came time to pay to ship, now it's $61. To make it all even more frustrating, I find the website to be very confusing. I never seem to find what I'm looking for on the first or second try. This last point may be a 'me' problem, but I tried this service because they operate in countries I frequently buy from, and I never had these problems with Amazon, eBay, Buyee, or Stackry when using them to import goods. It feels like they just started operating, yet they've been around for years and have tons of reviews.
I would also like to note that Apple Pay is supposedly supported, but mine didn't work. Nothing happened. It just showed the payment was in progress for about 5 days. I messaged support and they responded in 2 days to tell me to just cancel the payment and try again, but I didn't try Apple Pay the second time. There were also delays at the U.S. shipping center, but there are warnings that it's still being set up as a new location, so maybe the payment and delays are due to that. I am giving them a pass on that.
In the end the price changing repeatedly, and no option to use my own discretion for repacking, leave me not wanting to use this service again. I had hopes that the other reviews were flukes, or that they were trying to ship something hazardous, but no, it was just a terrible experience. My item was purchased broken, so there was zero need to repack it, not that they ever provided any proof that the original packaging was poor anyway. In the end the shipping and fees (I'm not including customs duties in any comparisons) were comparable to the other services I use, just with more frustration.

I made a mistake with my shipment, and Joyce from the German warehouse was patient, super helpful and helped resolve my issue in the best way possible, going above and beyond!
When MyGermany were purchased by Forward2Me I feared the level of service would decline, but it only went up! I’m super pleased and will absolutely use this service in the future (hopefully without making silly mistakes this time)!

Nach meiner Rezensionn vom 21.01.2026 und der nun erstatteten Versandkosten von Seiten Forward2me, kann ich meine Beurteilung dezidieren. Natürlich ist es gut wenn nachträglich die Versandkosten erstattet werden, keine Frage, aber das ist ja nicht Sinn einer Geschäftsbeziehung. Ich möchte von vornherein transparente Geschäftspraktiken und seriöse Zollberechnungen. Ein eigenmächtiges Umpacken ist ebenfalls so unnötig wenn original verpackt und in Ordnung, wie Zollgebühren obwohl vom Empfängerland gar keine erhoben werden. Un ddarauf noch eine saftige Bearbeitungspauschale von 5 Pfund. Ich würde mir wünschen das dies in Zukunft unterlassen wird und solche Berechnungen auch nur bei Notwendigkeit stattfinden. Ansonsten kann man gleich mit DHL üder anderen versenden, in Summe ist das dann das Gleiche. Ich bin gespannt wie es in Zukunft gehandhabt wird.

Following this issue, I was contacted by Lee from forward2me, and I was able to receive a refund.
I am sincerely grateful that the company listened to customer feedback and that the CEO himself responded promptly and took action.
In addition, the shipping cost for my first shipment with forward2me was about two thirds of what I used to pay when using myGermany. I have not received the parcel yet, but it is expected to arrive within the next few days, and I am very much looking forward to it.

I purchased many items on eBay and had them shipped to my Forward2me address. The address was correct, and none of the parcels contained dangerous or prohibited items. Nevertheless, Forward2me refused to accept the deliveries, and the parcels were returned to the sellers marked as “refused by recipient.”
On eBay, a refusal is treated as a completed delivery, which means buyers are not eligible for refunds. As a result, I lost a significant amount of money even though I did nothing wrong. Despite this, Forward2me has made it clear that they will not provide any compensation.
A parcel forwarding company exists for one purpose: to receive parcels on behalf of customers. If a company refuses to accept deliveries without a valid reason and then takes no responsibility for the consequences, its entire service model is fundamentally flawed.
A forwarding company that does not take responsibility for receiving parcels cannot be considered reliable. I strongly advise others to think very carefully before using this service.

The price in my case rose significantly, but Aimee from Germany warehouse solved this issue by offering a decent discount, which made the price close to the one I initially expected. Customer service are awesome and they never lost a package but my only comment is that once your order arrives you have to upload your items invoice and this may take a day or 2 for them to process it before you can ship it

Customer service is shocking. Major delays in replaying to emails. No cooperation. They arent even reading emails or trying to find a resolution.
They are holding a massively delayed package for me in Germany. They will not ship it to me or return to the sender so far. Waiting since Sunday for customer support to get back to me.
Update: after submitting a negative review I was contacted by Amie she was really helpfull with solving the issue. She got it sorted very quickly and my shipment was forwarded without cost.
However when I tried to forward shipment from my profile on forward2me my only option was dhl express. However I was advised that the only suitable provider to carry my parcel containing prescription medication would be fedex. Shipping rates vere very high if I was to forward similar shipment in the future. This was within the eu.
I am glad my issue was sloved but I dont think Id be able to reach a solution if I didnt post negative review first.

They wanted to charge £422 to send two boxes abroad—one small and one medium. I understand paying for shipping and service fees, but £422 is excessive and frankly greedy.
When I said I couldn’t afford this and asked for the parcels to be sent to a UK address instead, I was told this wasn’t possible. I was not informed that a UK courier could collect parcels from Forward2Me and deliver them to another UK address—which it turns out is possible.
While I was actually in the UK, I asked to collect my parcels in person. I was only told the day before collection that personal collection was not allowed and that they would only hand parcels to another courier. As a result, I had to pay yet another courier local to their depot to collect and hold my parcels for me.
To make matters worse, I called 12 times between 8am and 1pm and my calls were not answered once. I simply needed confirmation that the parcels could be collected that day.
Customer service is clearly outsourced overseas. Emails are replied to in the middle of the night and rarely during UK business hours. Overall, the level of service is shocking and completely unacceptable.
