My overall online "global" shopping experience has been enhanced and eased because of foward2me.

So I'll start with this. Customer communication was 5 stars. I cannot dispute that. It was quick, timely, you just gotta match up the UK hours with your own time zone.
Everything else? Not so much.
First those quotes they give you on the front page of the website? Forget all that entirely. Literally just throw that out. Or pick the biggest one and add 30€.
I ordered some manicure gel. Not flammable, non dangerous, very small goods. They even come in their own strong plastic pots. I got three packages, total weight was about 1.21 kg total.
Cheap, right? I expected to pay 60-70€ in shipping, with FedEx.
Wrong. Wrong!
I was hit with a repacking fee of 6€, ok. Fine. Expectation was that it was going to be in a smaller box.
Wrong again! My 6€ paid for the package to get heavier. It went from 1.21 kg to 1.38 kg.
So I paid for it to get heavier?
The shipping quote forced it to be optimized for DHL, said best would be 70€, worst would be 86€.
I was slapped with a solid 96€ for shipping.
So the package got heavier, and quote was now higher. I paid for over 200€ so I was in it for the long haul.
It said DHL express, two business days. I waited 2 weeks for that package to arrive to NEW YORK CITY for collection.
When I got it, it looked like my stuff was thrown in the most ramshackle, ghetto big box they had with no extra care or protection. There were packing peanuts, but that's it. And it looked like they just opened the other packages and tossed the contents inside of the big box with no care or protection.
So I'm not doing this again.
Edit: let me add this. If I had shipped to America via bpost from the Benelux, shipping would have been 46€ for 30 kg.

Our shipping rates are reviewed each year, with each of the courier services, to make them as cost effective as possible for our customers based on the volume of packages that we receive.
We understand that everyone is facing financially challenging times worldwide. Unfortunately the fluctuating fuel surcharge rates with each courier service are causing increases in the overall shipping prices we are currently offering. Some of the courier services are reviewing their fuel surcharges once a month and others review and amend the fuel surcharges on a weekly basis. Also many of the courier services' are having to apply additional emergency surcharge fees in relation to COVID restrictions from country to country.
We apologize for any inconvenience or difficulties this may be causing all of our customer's.

I found Forward2me through internet reviews. Forward2me provided me the opportunity to purchase an eBay item from Germany not available outside the EU. I was, furthermore, able to track the purchase from the Seller first through eBay and then through the shipper provided by Forward2me.

I am sorry to hear that you feel dissatisfied and that you have received your items in poor condition to your address.
All damage or loss claims must be notified to us via email as soon as the shipment has been received so we can request the relevant images and documents from you that are relating to the goods in the shipment, so we can then proceed to determine liability for the damage and ensure we are still within the stated timeframe to be able to submit a claim to the courier if needed. All damage claims must be notified by us to FedEx in writing within 21 calendar days from the date FedEx accepted the shipment, failing which no action for damages may be brought against FedEx. I have checked the date that your shipment was dispatched from our EU warehouse up until the date of delivery and unfortunately we may just be still within the 21 days timeframe to submit a damage claim with the courier for your shipment. I can see that you did not request a repack service for your goods prior to shipping, therefore, all of your goods would have been shipped out as they were received from the original senders. I am happy to ask for one of my customer experience agents to reach out to you via email to request additional images of the damaged items so we can assess and conclude this matter further at our side for you.

I am sorry you are dissatisfied with your repack. I can see that your repack had exceeded our target of 24-48 hours.
To compensate you for the inconvenience we have performed the repack for free.
Forward2me is working to maintain great value pricing for our customers whilst also paying fair wages to our employees. This is a difficult balance to achieve in 2022 and has resulted in us failing to hit targets on multiple occasions.
To address these problems we are investing in technology and automation which will allow us to achieve more output with fewer people. The benefits of these investments will be felt by our customers in the coming months.

I can see that your first shipment was sent from our Tax Free warehouse in Guernsey.
Please be aware that, when you order goods to the tax free warehouse, the tax free element refers to the 20% VAT that is deducted from the total purchase costs of the items from the online retailer either upon checkout or upon delivery to Guernsey.
The VAT or tax free element refers to the purchase VAT or tax that you save from your original purchase with the retailer and this VAT or tax saving would contribute towards your final costs for the shipping service.
Guernsey is an English-speaking island located in the English Channel between France and Great Britain. It is not part of the United Kingdom or a member of the European Union, instead it is a self-governing Crown Dependency. Significantly, Guernsey has no VAT or GST (Tax Free). This means if a UK retailer ships to Guernsey they should not be charging VAT or tax.
Therefore it is recommended that you only look to ship higher value goods to the Tax Free address as the shipping options can be a little more expensive than shipping from our mainland UK address. We have recently switched on the FedEx International Priority as an additional courier option from the Tax Free warehouse.
