This was my first time using Forward2Me to ship a high-value item from the UK to the United States, and I couldn’t have asked for better service. Joyce was amazing — quick to respond, clear in her guidance, and she went the extra mile to update the commercial invoice and send details to DHL for smooth customs clearance.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Forward2Me. I sent a complete table to their warehouse for repacking and international shipping. I selected “Combine & Repack” for everything in my account and was told the shipment was ready to go. When the delivery arrived, half the table was missing, including the legs, hardware, and instructions, and no one had informed me anything was left behind. It took over two weeks of slow, back-and-forth responses to get an answer, and the missing parts had been sitting in their warehouse the entire time. I was then told I had to pay extra to get them shipped, even though the mistake was not mine. In the end, I paid just to get it over with, but this whole process has been a nightmare. Very poor communication, no accountability, and very slow to resolve mistakes. I will not be using them again. UPDATE: Forward2Me acknowledged the mistake with my shipment and refunded the cost of the second delivery. I appreciate that the team followed through with a fair resolution.

The process for shipping to Forward2Me has been relatively seamless, apart from the payment verification at the end. I was impressed with the affordable rates, and after ordering something to the Germany warehouse getting the parcel to the shipping phase was simple. However, after paying the shipping fees via PayPal I received an email that looked like a Phishing scam from the Forward2Me customer support. It wasn't explicitly clear that I should trust this email from reading through the FAQs, in which there was only one page that mentioned the PayPal verification issue. To top it off, the email was written in somewhat broken English, and I was asked for my Passport/Government ID and proof of purchase, which raised major alarm bells.
To summarise, I think the process with Forward2Me is great, but you guys need to formalise verifying a PayPal purchase (if the email on the account is different) through your site, instead of asking someone via email to send pictures of their ID, which blatantly looks like a Phishing scam

Forward2me have refunded me in full, which I appreciate. I also believe I’ve found a bug in their shipping calculator that may explain part of the confusion. I’ve reported this back to their customer service team and I’m waiting for confirmation.
Once they acknowledge and confirm, I’ll update this review again with the details — hopefully this will prevent other customers from running into the same issue.

Here’s exactly how my experience with forward2me went (Parcel ID: US-61-1753878944484100):
1. Step 1 – Shipping calculator: I entered the exact dimensions and weight into their own calculator — FedEx to Hungary showed around $60, with cheaper options starting at $28.
2. Step 2 – Forced repackaging: Once my package arrived, they forced me to repackage it without any proper explanation — only generic copy-paste replies. During this stage, they gave me an “estimated” shipping cost of $84, already about 40% higher than the calculator’s maximum FedEx rate.
3. Step 3 – After repackaging: They claim repackaging is to save cost, but after it was done, the only option left was FedEx at $106 — another 26% increase over the repackaging estimate, and over 75% higher than the calculator’s original FedEx price.
I contacted customer service three separate times to get a specific explanation for this price jump. Every single time, I received the same generic “volumetric weight” explanation — none of which addressed the actual discrepancy between their calculator prices and the final price shown in my account.
At this point, my only “choice” was to either pay the inflated price or have my package destroyed.
This is a very sneaky, misleading, and completely non-transparent pricing tactic. Be warned: once your parcel is in their warehouse, you may be trapped in a pay-or-lose-it scenario.

i'm a full-time traveler and needed items sent to me.
before signing up, i confirmed with their support that they ship to my current location, they said yes. after my package arrived at their facility, they asked for an invoice (which i provided), then my passport, and finally rejected the shipment outright.
it felt like getting hit by a train, lost time, lost money.

My last experience wasn't perfect because of the prepaid tax duty policy however I managed to postpay them at door.
Forward2me asked for = 80$ tax and duty.
The courier at door asked for only 30$

I entrusted Forward2Me with an express shipment on July 3, 2025, and paid over $400 for fast delivery (4 business days). Three weeks later, the package still hasn't even left their warehouse. They admitted that my parcel was mistakenly sent to another customer — a massive internal error — but since then, they have done absolutely nothing to resolve it.
I've written several official complaints and demanded a refund and compensation. They stopped responding. This is totally unacceptable for a company that claims to offer insured and professional international shipping.
I lost over $1,600 including the item and delivery costs. If you're considering using Forward2Me — DON'T. Their support is unresponsive, and they take no accountability when they mess up.
I will be filing complaints with UK Trading Standards and financial authorities.

Gestione vergognosa della mia pratica nonostante ripetuti solleciti. Acquistato ricambi auto in UK avevo deciso di affittarlo a forward2me per semplificare la gestione delle pratiche doganali.
Errore fatale, dopo quasi 3 settimane sto continuando ad inviare email di solleciti con risposte superficiali, probabilmente sono boot.
Mi hanno chiesto 53 Sterline per gestire la pratica, alle quali andranno sommate oneri doganali, eventuali dazi e gestione pratica del corriere.
Probabilmente non pagherò e perderò la merce. VERGOGNA!!!

There’s hardly any difference in shipping costs between having the item shipped directly from the net shop in UK and using Forward2me. The shipment was delayed for a week because the process was put on hold due to so-called special packaging requirements or a system error.
I’ve imported similar items many times before, and I’ve never once been told anything like that.
Shipping a £50 item ended up costing £115, even though the original estimate was around £60 to 110. They obviously chose the high end.
It would have been much simpler and more straightforward to have it shipped directly from the net shop.
There’s really no reason to use Foward2me.

In this case, even if we combine or repack, the volumetric weight will still apply, and there would be no cost savings. In fact, any changes could result in a similar or even higher charge. Our team decline the repack for saving as theres no economical savings.

Used Forward2me for the first time, getting European football shirts delivered to there German depot and shipped to the UK.
Was sceptical at first but after my first shipment just turned up, ive goto say it was so easy to use and very quick. Would definitely recommend.

Very expensive, repack is a hidden cost, difficult to judge costs upfront. Combining 3 small packages into 1 small package and shipping to USA cost $100 Euro!
But, the service does work. They do a good job communicating everything other than costs. Everything was easy to manage and on time. Legit.

Je mets une étoile puisqu'on ne peut pas en mettre aucune.
Depuis le 18 juin 2025, je bataille avec Forward2me pour obtenir le remboursement d'un produit pharmaceutique arrivé défectueux à mon domicile avec des délais de livraison hors normes alors même que j'avais opté et payé pour une livraison DHL Express en 1 jour ouvré. Cette société se retranché derrière ses interprétations erronées de leurs conditions générales de vente, prétend que ce sont les délais douaniers qui ont engendré le retard de livraison ce qui est faux et qui a été démontré. Une action collective incluant 7 personnes, dont moi, leur a été adressée. Si dans un premier temps, ils se sont montrés conciliants, tel n'est désormais plus le cas puisque silence radio depuis de nombreux jours. En effet, il nous a été demandé de signer un contrat de confidentialité totalement farfelue afin d'obtenir un remboursement partiel. Or, ce fameux contrat contenait des clauses ahurissantes pour lesquelles nous avons demandé une modification. Depuis, aucune nouvelle malgré plusieurs relances. Forward2me, aurez-vous le cran de répondre à cet avis négatif ainsi qu'à nos derniers mails? Sans quoi, et vous êtes déjà prévenu, nous enclencherons la seconde pour porter l'affaire en justice.
Je laisse le soin à mes 6 camarades également flouées par cette entreprise peu scrupuleusement de venir également déposer un avis ici.
Nul besoin d'indiquer la référence de ma commande ou de ma la demander puisque vous savez très bien qui je suis et qui sont les 6 autres personnes concernées par le litige nous opposant à votre société. Sandra

I would like to recognize Nica (warehouse – Green Lane West, Preston, PR3 1NJ, UK) for a job well done. I had an issue with getting my order shipped to the US (from the UK). Apparently, there are/was changes to US Customs regarding the threshold amounts of items that could be shipped with incurring duties and fees that I was not aware of. Nica went out of her way to research the issue and provide me with information and possible alternatives.
Unfortunately, there was no way to get around paying the duties/fees that US Custom was going to impose on incoming orders from abroad (my order as not over $800), but that was no fault to Nica nor Forward2me.
Instead of becoming a very frustrating situation, Nica became an ally and tried everything to assist. I really appreciated that sort of attention to detail as she really wasn't obligated to go that extra mile, but she did. For that I would definitely like to give her Kudos for a job well done as she showed me what good (no GREAT) customer service is all about. Thank you again Nica for all of your efforts and being such an AWESOME person (it made a difference)!

A complete rip off, charged me 136 euros to ship a package with dhl, which should have cost 34.99 euros based on their standard rates. So Forward2me have charges me an extra 120 euros including extra duty.
The response from Forward2me is incorrect as I had to considerate 2 packages in to one and once that process has started I was unable to select a cheaper shipping solution. Forward2me did offer me a credit for future shipping, BUT as I used this service for a specific purpose the offer of credit was of no value to me.

While I love the service, there have been changes which make me less enthusiastic about their service. We are now required to upload an invoice rather than inputting the information yourself. Great idea in theory and when you upload the invoice ahead of the time it automatically lists everything with prices and it looks like you are all set. Then your package arrives, and they put it on hold with the reason "Awaiting Invoice" despite it all ready having been uploaded 2 days before delivery and cant reload because its all ready there. Very frustrating, because now I have to submit a ticket to ask why its has not been processed, which will take a few days for them to respond - so now its more delays.

Hidden fees and forces custom duties fees upfront when shipping.
Edit: problem is the upfront custom duties are three times the actual custom duties I would pay directly to the customs. So basically they abuse this new DDP policy to overcharge. I have no issue with other package forwarding services.

We’ve recently experienced repeated issues where couriers has billed back duties and taxes to the shipper, even when shipments were sent using DAP (Delivered at Place) terms. This has caused unexpected costs and inconsistencies.
We’ve made the decision to only allow DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) shipments to Saudi Arabia moving forward. This ensures all duties and taxes are prepaid and accounted for upfront, eliminating the risk of surprise charges later.
This policy now applies to all shipments from all our warehouse locations.

While forward2me UK are a bit slow, but friendly and thrustworthy, forward2me USA is a complete different storry. While all purchase documents have been submited even before the goods have arrived to forward2me USA, questioning started useing standard emails ("Tracking Number:, Courier Details:, Sender Details:, Brief description of the package contents:, Copy of Purchase Invoice/Proof of Purchase:). No one looked into the uploaded documents. It went on in a loop. Sending me questions, not reading answers, sending same or slightly different questions, 13 times!!! Waiting up to 4/5 days for reaction sometimes. Its all about two fans, two cpu brackets and a cutting tool. In the meantime I compiled a list additional to invoices. This list contains: description, shipping company, tracking id and value of goods for each article. This list has been send several times to forward2me USA and is strictly ignored. Then I got the confirmation Jxxxx understood the issue: "To confirm, the tracking id xxx- should only have the below item? bi-metal hole cutter flat drill edge", to fix the wrong allocation. I confirmed and Jxxxx wrote me to do that within two days. Next I was asked to confirm the physical disposal of the articles by Jxxxx. I asked forward2 for another employe to help me, but was asigned back to Jxxxx. Now the tracking number of the fans has been removed out of forward2me´s system without my consent. The whole process starts feeling like a mind game. Thanks to the removed tracking number I am not even able to combine and repack and ship with wrong allocations, paying double tax. I cannot access the goods any more. In two days I am running in a situation, where I have to pay almost $100 for storage per month. Fully dependend on the mercy of forward2me to get the articles repacked and shipped to Germany.
Update: Now everything was solved within 6 days, the parcel is on its way.
I am very thankful Aimee solved the issue. forward2me has taken over shipping costs at their expense as goodwill gesture. Did not expect that at all.
