Shipping rates are way too expensive! There is no budget option available, just premium courier services, so for forwarding a simple cup (500g) it cost 42£ from UK to Switzerland. I forwarded this issue but no response was received. Because of this, I would not recommend to use forward2me.
I was also forced to repack the shipment (at extra cost, of course), despite it arriving in fully protected condition from the original seller - why?
I talked to support about it, but there were constant changes to who was responsible and thus it didn't lead to a solution. I did get a refund for the repacking fee later, so in the end this was resolved.
Overall disappointed. It's not the solution I was looking for due to the unreasonably high cost.

June 2024 Update: BULLIES ENGAGING IN TARGETED HARASSMENT!!! This is the third review I have written since they flagged and removed my last one, falsely claiming it contained "harmful or illegal content". I refuse to allow myself to be bullied.

I want to start by saying I find it awfully strange how many recent positive reviews sound all the same, have the same "tone" of voice in their text, same writing style/prose, and mention the SAME customer service agents by name.

After an incredibly distressing experience with Forward2Me, involving misleading service offerings and coercive tactics, I finally received a full refund. However, this came with a clear intent from the company to have me delete my initial negative review (coercion is against Trust Pilot’s policies, which they have been reported for). They have also specifically targeted my previous review, reporting me for including a customer support agent’s name but not reporting any other of the suspiciously similar reviews that includes names (also against TP policies to target one person). These tactics of acting underhanded and resolving issues only under the threat of public exposure is manipulative and not a mark of a trustworthy company.

Initially, their site offered multiple shipping options including a seemingly affordable Forward2Me Lite service. However, when it came time to ship my package, all of a sudden, the only option available was an exorbitantly priced DHL service. The quoted price - around 100 £ BP which is even more in $ USD, was higher than DHL's own rates listed on their website!!! Royal Mail (which they call their Lite service), UPS, Fedex, and cheaper DHL options are non-existent but will appear as available if you estimate a quote before-hand, and they charge arbitrary DHL fees that are high priced. Consider listings on websites where the item appears cheap but the shipping fee is high to make up for it -- that’s what this company does, and it is deceptive. ***They draw you in with cheap service fee quote but the service fee is actually in the high cost of shipping once they have your item and you're stuck.***

I was told that despite fitting the advertised weight requirements, my package's "volumetric weight" was too much. This feels deceptive; their policy prominently advertises weight limits but downplays box volume constraints, which seems designed to catch customers off-guard. ~~~~~~~!~~~~~~~NOTE: I PUT THIS SAME VOLUMETRIC INFORMATION into my quote and it showed tons of shipping options, which were no longer there once they had my package! So whatever response I'm sure they'll leave back to me about volumetric weight is gaslighting nonsense, because the quote beforehand shows other shipping options possible but they ONLY offered DHL after having my package hostage. It is insanely predatory and clear gaslighting! ~~~~~~~!~~~~~~~ They also don’t allow UK-to-UK shipping or warehouse pickups, so no use considering hiring an individual to pick it up from the warehouse ship for cheaper. There are some people who repack on Fiverr for cheaper, and I regret not choosing this instead. Save your money and use an individual instead as a proxy service, or at least another company.

The customer service lady was nice at first, but things turned sour fast. After posting a 1 star review, a representative contacted me, offering "one-time courtesy" Lite Shipping if I reconsidered my negative feedback (first coercion - against TP policy). This came after my items were repackaged without my consent, a clear violation of my rights as a customer - keep in mind they could be held liable for this in court, please know your rights. Despite agreeing to these new terms, the company then reneged on the Lite Shipping offer, proposing a DHL discount code instead, which at first did not work and was more expensive than what was promised. Yet she not only refused to help further, but also went as far as targeting/flagging my review for mentioning her name that is mentioned in other reviews. Petty and unprofessional. This series of actions—repacking my goods without permission, failing to honor agreed terms, and attempting to manipulate my review—highlights the unethical practices of this company. If you have your item stuck with them, just return to sender, do not proceed. Nevertheless, I did proceed further, using the code (that was now working) and paid over 50 USD for shipping but planned to report them to my bank and Action Fraud in the UK. Because I was refunded, I did not need to do so. But I was ONLY refunded under terms of deleting my 1st review. If they do the same to you, you're allowed to create a new review & report them! Keep proof! Know your rights!

Jane via email was really helpful in the process along the way. I had a problem with delivery to the German location because the retailer wrote the wrong address so DHL didn’t send one of my packagres which is now unfortunately being returned. My other package though for some reason able to through and has now been sent to me via post . I’m waiting for it from forward2ms to arrive in 4-5 business days. Even though I had the issue with the first package Jane assured me it wasn’t them turning the package away which was true and she gave me alternative options. They seemed to think I was wrong to assume their new USA service operated the same as the UK services

“You should have read this one line hidden in our zendesk knowledge base”

In the it was all resolved at my expense. Not even an admission of “oh this could be clearer” just the standard copy and paste responses.

Planet express service has been much better priced and cs responds much faster

Haven't received parcel yet but some notes:

- you have to keep checking the site, I didn't get an email when my package arrived
- you can only pay once it's arrived
- my package had to be "combined and repacked". The website is not intuitive - once you select the item and click "ship", you get an error saying it needs repacking, but the combine and repack button is disabled, so you have to refresh. Then once you've done the combine and repack, you then have to go through the "ship" process again as a separate action.

A much simpler way to handle this would be if you just got an email saying "your package has arrived. Click this link to pay." (I don't care about combining and repacking, I just want to get the items quickly.)

Instead it almost feels like you have to use this app from the perspective of a forward2me employee, managing individual database records and updates at a fine-grained level.

Check forward2me terms of trade. I cant put the link up here. They create a term called 'dual use', "17.3.15 Dual use items (goods, software or technology that can be used for both civilian and military applications)". A few months back the terms of trade for Dual Use were different, theyve simplified it now but before it was ambiguous. The examples they gave were laser scopes, night vision goggles etc. Their reply to my review was also incorrect. They stated that my items werent able to be sent as they were 'switchblades' which they were not. Switchblades are automatic knives actuated by a button. The knives I had were all manual folding knives and completely legal. I spent months explaining this to them and sent them all the requested information and links to the product website.
Im writing another review because I recently received an email from trustpilot advising me that forward2me had lodged a request to have my review removed on the basis that I had left a review containing abusive, harmful and illegal material.' I only spoke the truth. There was so much more that happened but I was limited to write only so much. Had I felt that forward2me were trying to correct their errors I wouldve removed the review onmy own accord but they behaved in such a sly way that I dont want to.
Another issue I had was they lost a $185 knife. Before they sent it I sensed something was off so I made sure to ask about it and they assured everything was fine. The knife never came, and they never sent it but they basically called me a liar and said that they had. After alot of back & forth and when I wouldnt back down from a refund suddenly the knife was found. But they sent it to the wrong address so I lost it anyway. How ironic. The replied that they have added a system where customers can request a photo of what is being sent so things like this wont happen. Except its actually really just another scheme to make more $ because they will charge you to have a photo taken. There is so much more but I will leave it at this. Shocking experience.

As you noted, we recently simplified this definition to clarify what is meant by "goods, software, or technology that can be used for both civilian and military applications," such as laser scopes and night vision goggles.

Dual Use goods are items, software and technologies that are normally intended for civil purposes, but can possibly have a military application, or may contribute to the production or distribution of weapons of mass destruction. For example, nuclear weapons, chemical gasses or biological weapons.

There are various International treaties which regulate the trade of such items. They cannot be exported or carried on without a license. Export to certain countries is actually prohibited. Local customs authorities enforce these rules.

As you are shipping knives, which we consider to be dual-use items, we regret to inform you that we cannot ship them.

Some forwarding companies have been shut down for shipping dual-use items, and we do not want to face the same risk. We trust our judgment and strive to do what is right.

The photo request service is designed for your peace of mind. Many customers use it to verify they received the correct items from the seller. However, if you choose not to use this service, that decision is entirely up to you. It is not something we can enforce.

I had an item that was labelled dangerous and I was enlightened by forward2me company to contact them. I contacted customer support and they answered promptly and the clarification explained by Ms Reglin, and Nica were very helpful and understanding. According to DHL shipping policies, dangerous goods need to be dealt with smart shipping fee. Anyway the item came safely today. Thanks to all the staff particularly to Regilyn, and Nica. This was the first time I have shipped anything from the USA to the UK and the experience was very positive. When I had queries my customer service agent, Julie, was quick to reply with information and screenshots. I appreciated that, and it gave me confidence that my package was in safe hands with forward2me.

Just to note that USPS only provide tracking up to the moment they hand your package over to their own local delivery depot, but DHL, UPS and FedEx will provide tracking all the way to the forward2me facility.

It took about two weeks to forward a parcel. Somebody marked in as dangerous (without any reason), and manager on your side all this time was "trying to get documentation from manufacturer". I assume, she just put this aside, until I begin to send a lot of annoyed messages.

Anyway, I took two weeks and a lot of my time, attention and meaningless correspondence about "dangerous" items.

For this time looks like poor service.

We understand you're shipping chalk paint, which is water-based and not flammable, thus lowering its classification as hazardous material. Still, it's recommended to review the safety data sheet (SDS) provided by the manufacturer to confirm its classification and any special handling instructions.

EDIT of my previous experience : After seeing my review the support did unlock the parcel really fast and and I didn't get any issue with the delivery. Packaging was intact.

Bought a book I really wanted on EBay UK that was out print — seller didn’t know how to deal with tax and ship to US, and stopped replying to my inquiry. Found these guys as a solution.
