Postage rate resulted in delivery costs being much higher than the cost of the item that was forwarded to me. Very disappointed.
Many thanks for taking the time to feedback to us , your comments are really important to us.<br/>We realise that pricing can be a sensitive issue but wanted to try and put this in context for you.<br/>To give you an example, the cost for us to ship say a ladies purse (cost ~ £10)is the same as the cost to ship an Iphone (cost~£500). For most people shipping an Iphone is excellent value for money but in the case of the purse, some customers will decide it's not good value.<br/>Sometimes bulky but light items can give customers the same feeling of the service being expensive but when put in context perhaps isn't.<br/>Again for example the cost of shipping 10 books costing ~£200 could be the same as the cost to ship something light but bulky like cushions, cost~£20. The cushions would take up more room in the aeroplane, although a lot lighter than the books.<br/>In these given situations customers quite often choose to consolidate multiple items into one shipment in order to improve the overall value of shipping. Fundamentally the determination of value is with each customer for each shipment.<br/>As part of the shipping process we open every package to ensure it's legal to ship, generate export paperwork,pay the courier and also pay our team of employees a reasonable salary.<br/>We hope this all helps and you will continue to use forward2me.<br/>Have a great day.<br/>Kind Regards,<br/><br/>Janet.

The rates are quite high and your courier service to Malta (i.e. DHL) does not offer a good service here. Th last parcel i got, i went to pick it up myself and spent about an hour in their reception to be attended to. There were only 2 people before me. It would be of great benefit to both parties if you had to use another courier service like TNT, Express, etc. They are also cheaper.

At first I was very sceptic about these forward services. But I wanted the Nexus 4 so bad so I went for forward2me. It amazed me how great their customer service is! It's absolutly top notch. I sent a bunch of mails, silly one's too and they replied on every single one within 24h.
As for packaging. My phone was multiple times wrapped in bubble foil and put in a plastic DHL bag.
Forward2Me is a bit expensive but it's totaly worth it! Really. I will use their service again in the near future.

Fast service, although hard to estimate shipping costs prior to using this service. Pretty much obliged to pay requested rate without a clear guide of costs prior to purchasing.

Thanks for your feedback, it's appreciated.<br/><br/>Regarding prohibited items, we certainly understand frustrations in this area and we do everything we can to exceed customer expectations but we are not in a position to influence laws and regulations affecting shipment of goods between countries. We are a professional company that operates within the law and so in a small percentage of cases we have to return goods to the retailer or destroy them depending on customer instruction – this generally happens with toner cartridges, batteries and aftershave although we have an explicit list in our terms of trade https://www.forward2me.co m/main-site/terms-of-tra de. Companies that forward these types of items without following the necessary shipping procedures affect everyone by slowing down the transit of appropriately shipped goods and threatening the safety of other people. If you find a company prepared to just put these items in the post it's a sure sign the don't know what they are doing.<br/><br/>Forward2me has 4 people who are accredited to ship dangerous goods so where it is legal to ship such goods we are able to do so. This requires special labelling, packaging and handling and so is at additional cost to us – necessarily we have to pass this on and it may not make sense from the perspective of some customers.<br/><br/>Regarding the cost of the service, we charged a total of £35.50 (£29.67 ex VAT). We understand this can be a sensitive issue however I would like to put it into context. We received 4 separate packages for you, we had to consolidate these into one package and then generate the appropriate export paperwork to accompany the package. We provided a DHL Air Express courier service which was collected from us on Thursday 20th December and with you in Greece on Friday 21st December. Post Office would not be viable for pre-Christmas delivery although we are happy to send via PO where requested. To compare our DHL Air Express price, please take a look at an aggressive parcel delivery service such as Parcel Monkey http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk/dhl-worldwide. The same package with them would have cost £41.63 (£49.95 inc VAT) – this is just shipment – no taking receipt of goods, export paperwork, consolidation of goods, etc.<br/><br/>Once again, thanks for taking the time to provide the feedback and wishing you a happy 2013.
