The customer service is very friendly however the shipping service rates offered are extremely expensive. I have shipped an already assembled adult mountain bike from a supplier (Their business is selling bicycles so not shipping) for a quarter of the cost that forward2me charged me to ship a beanbag that weighed less than 5kgs.
Hi,Many thanks for provding your feedback regarding your recent shipment with us.I'm pleased to hear that our customer service team was very friendly however sorry to hear the cost of shipping your item was more than expected.I have checked the package details and can see that although the parcel did only weigh 5 kg in actual weight the size of the package meant that the actual volume (the amount of space the package takes up in transit) actually worked out to be over 90 kg in volumetric weight. Therefore our couriers actually calculate the shipping fee on the volumetric weight of the parcel not the actual dead weight.For example if we shipped a package containing 10 books weighing 10 kg with a volumetric weight of 5 kg the shipping fee would be charged on the actual weight 10 kg whereas if we shipped a bag of feathers weighing 5 kg however with a volumetric weight of 20 kg the shipping fee would be charged on the volumetric weight in this instance.With regards to comaring the price for shipping with the bicycle company, many retailers sell shipping as a loss leader as they are making their living on selling the goods and do not rely on making money on shipping however our business is shipping so we need to ensure our costs for accepting, processing, storing and dispatching your goods are covered, these services are included within the shipping price charged.I hope this helps explain how our service works and how shipping costs are calculated by our couriers, however if you have any further questions please feel free to contact me at info@forward2me.com and I will be happy to answer any further questions you have.Kind Regards,Tracy.

Ordered a bike frame and forks and they both arrived in 3 days in the US! Frame was boxed and so were the forks (usually the frames I buy don’t come boxed). Communications was immediate or next business day. Better than most freight forwarders I’ve dealt with. Highly recommend!
