I'm pleased to hear that you are happy with the speed that your shipments are received however you find the costs for storage over 30 days expensive.
Due to the volume of parcels we receive for our customers each day we need to keep the parcels flowing through our warehouse. We understand that customer look to purchase multiple items and ship them together to make shipping cost effective, this is the reason why we offer the 30 day free storage period.
We do base our service on shipping rather than storage so encourage our customers to ship goods within the 30 day free storage period.
I hope this helps explain why we have to charge for storage after the 30 day period however if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Customer Service team and they will be happy to advise you further.

Amazing service, everything was great, but the price was just a bit too much. I shipped an Xbox controller and it cost $75 to ship it. If they had a cheaper option that took longer, it would be perfect.

It has been a difficult year in shipping due to the CV19 pandemic, due to the lack of passenger flights freight space on aircraft has been premium. This has meant that many of the budget services are no longer viable and have been removed from our offering.
Now the world is returning to a more normal level and travelling hopefully will resume soon, more budget options should become available again and we are in the process of increasing our offering in this area. These services should be showing on our site in the next couple of months.

No guidance on the additional duty that would be charged. The carrier then made an error adding 5 days onto delivery. When I asked forward2me to complain they kicked back and said it was due to customs which was not the case. I had to get them to re-read the details before they would raise a complaint again. Original quote to get this shipped was around £35. It ended up costing me £120

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service provided by forward2me. From the communication I can see that although we initially thought the delay was due to customs clearance, DHL in fact confirmed on their second email that this was an operational error on their part.
I believe after our agent contacted DHL they have provided compensation for you and this has already been refunded to your account.
With regards to guidance on additional duty, we do clearly state on our terms of trade that our pricing is quoted for a delivery duty unpaid shipment and all duty and taxes owing will be calculated on import of the goods to the receivers country according to their local laws. All import duty and taxes are payable by the receiver on arrival of the goods generally before delivery is made. This is also stated on the commercial invoice on your account which is available to customers when they ship.
When a customer registers with us we do ask them to read the terms of trade so they are aware of what our service offers, before a customer is registered they need to confirm they have read these terms.
I'm sorry if the fees for import were higher than expected, I see the commodity you shipped was alcohol and these type of shipments do tend to have higher import taxes for most countries.

Care should have been taken when placing the items back into the shipping box and not just dumped in just to fit into the box.
And the shipper which I used FedEx, was really bad. The box came shipped and crushed. Very disappointed with the service.

In these sort of instances we encourage the customer to report to our customer service team who can then evaluate what happened and how the damage was caused. I don't see that you have been in touch with our customer service team to report this incident.
Please could you send over some photographs showing the damage to info@forward2me.com and we can then assess the situation further?

I was informed when package arrived at their address. Package was dispatched and I was given estimated delivery date. Also, given various options for delivery. Actual delivery was just outside of estimate, but given the Covid and Brexit additional requirements that's not unusual these days.

During the pandemic all our couriers have added extra fees to help them combat the extra charges they are facing to ensure that their employees can continue to work in a safe enviroment. Due to forward2me being already competitve we have to pass on these extra fees to the customer. We have also found that many budget services that were offered before the pandemic are no longer viable for the couriers due to the lack of space on transportation so they have been removed from our offerings.
Over the next few months, once the world opens up again, we are hoping the freight space will increase and the budget services can once again be offered by forward2me.

I have to say - this is a top top company that is really impressive to work with. By nature having someone in another country arrange something for you can feel at least a little uncertain, but their communication is top notch, they are incredibly organized, and their process is easy to understand and use. They also ship unbelievably fast and for what I consider fair rates for an important and reliable service like this. I genuinely mean it when I say I wish more companies were as on point in how they do things as ForwardToMe is. I'm pleased to hear that you are happy with speed that you received your shipment and the suport we gave you however you felt we are not transparent about our prices and you found the cost expensive.
We do provide a pricing page on our website which allows customers to enter their country, city and postcode then the weight and dimensions of the goods being shipped. This allows the customer to have an indication of the services and prices charged for shipping from the our addresses to the customers home address. These prices do not include any import duty or taxes which will be calculated on import of the goods according to local laws.
For shipping prices, these are calculated on the amount of space the shipment takes up in transit which is called the volumetric weight. The actual weight of the goods would be used for the chargeable weight only if this exceeds the volumetric weight.
I see for your parcel that the weight was very low however the pricing was based on the volumetric weight. We may have been able to help reduce the volumetric weight by using our combine and repack service, this is available to you when you ship on your account. When this service is chosen our warehouse team evaluates if the parcel can be repacked and reduced in size to ensure the customer receives the maximum value for shipping.
I see that you mention shipping from the US and Japan. We currently have an address in Japan if you are interested and will be looking to switch on a US address later this year.
