I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the shipping price for forwarding your goods to Australia from the UK. However I do have some suggestions that may help make using our services more cost effective.
I see that this was your first shipment with us and you did not take advantage of our combine and repack service. Many of our customers take advantage of our 30 day free storage period, purchasing from different retailers and once all the parcels have arrived arrange for them to be repacked together as efficiently as possible.
Shipping fees are based on the amount of space the shipment takes up in transit, this is called the volumetric weight. It is only when the actual weight of the goods is higher than the volumetric weight that the shipping fees are based on the actual weight.
Your shipment shows that the actual weight of the goods was 1.82 kg however the volumetric weight was 8.28 kg. It is possible that if you have chosen the combine and repack option we may have reduced the size (volumetric weight) of your package which may have significantly reduced the cost of shipping.
Please also take into account that we are not only offering a shipping service, we offer a free address to receive goods to our addresses, we accept, process and store the goods until you are ready for shipping and prepare the export paperwork for the shipment on dispatch.

I'm really sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the service you were provided in Guernsey. Guernsey is a small island in the Channel Islands just south of the UK, due to their limited infrastructre sometimes due to unforseeable circumstances parcel deliveries can be delayed.
Guernsey have been particularly hit by the covid pandemic, this relates to both their own staff having to self isolate and staff shortages with the couriers and local postal service. Sometimes especially with Guernsey post, parcels can show as delivered however the signature given often relates to the delivery to the postal service and not our warehouse. I know this can be confusing and frustrating for customers especially if they are looking to re-ship their goods as quickly as possible.
Please be assured that the Guernsey team are dedicated to our customers, once the restrictions of the covid pandemic lift the service should become smoother and deliveries quicker so our customers can continue to benefit from the tax free saving on the vat paid on goods purchased from the UK.

Not charge GST for Australia when they're not in Australia.
The parts got here but I had to pay GST on goods, GST on freight and insurance, GST on VAT!! Won't do it again. Would rather go without.

I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy about us charging GST when shipping to Australia however we have no choice but to add GST to the value of the goods.
In July 2018 the Australian Government introduced the payment of GST on all goods under the value of $1000 AUD imported into their country, due to the volume of parcels we ship to Australia, we were obliged to register for collection of GST from our customers on shipping. GST is charged on the value of the goods and the shipping price paid which enables the shipment to clear much quicker on import as the GST has been already charged by the shipper. These payments are then collected from us by the Australian Authorities.
You also mentioned that we are an eBay owned company, this isn't the case, we are a privately owned company and feel that we offer a value for money service regularly working with couriers to ensure that our customers get the best shipping prices possible.
The price of shipping includes a full service from use of the address to receive your goods, acceptance, processing and storing of the goods until you ship and preparation of the export paperwork when shipping.
I hope you will reconsider using our services again in the future, if you have any further questions about the payment of GST please feel free to contact customer services and we will be happy to answer them.

I would definitely use this service again. I’ve used it twice so far- completely satisfied. Where to even begin….I have been using this service for a while now and I have had a terrible experience . 9 out of 10 deliveries end up with one problem or another. It is a huge pain to deal with customer service going back and forth over email with days between responses. I almost always pay to combine and repack yet only about 25% of the time is there any packing material used or care taken to repack my items. I have had 4 packages lost, one of which was never found. Even when things are clearly damaged due to poor repacking the company has yet to accept any fault in the numerous times this has damaged my products. I would strongly discourage others from using this company based on my experience so far.

I understand that you are receiving a number of second hand items which sometimes arrive with us poorly packaged, some with cosmetic damage. Please be assured that our staff are trained to repack goods so they are safe and secure for international transit however we are unable to be responsible for damage to package before they arrive with us.
I'm sorry to hear some of your packages have been lost, we have a very robust tracking system for packages, they are tracked from the receipt at our door until they are dispatched via the courier. From time to time due to human error we do have some parcels that are misplaced however on the rare occasion that this does happen we would ensure that customers are fully compensated for their loss.
Its disappointing to hear that you are recommending that other customers do not use our service, I see that over the last eight months you have done 26 shipments with us so I'm thinking we have done something right along the way.
I will contact you separately to this review to see if there is anything we can do to help resolve the issues you are experiencing.

My orders had to be repackaged and consolidated. Everything was carefully packaged and were promptly sent to me.

I see that you have had an issue with adding the address to a retailer site for delivery to the Guernsey address. This address is valid and is a physical address however I believe you could possibly have entered the latter three digits of the postcode incorrectly. I have tested this on the site and see that if you enter the postcode GY8 0DJ the address shows up as forrest house however if the latter 0 is entered as a letter O instead of the number 0 the address is not showing.
I'm sorry that we weren't able to resolve this at the time you contacted us and had to ship your goods to the UK mainland address which didn't give you the saving on vat that you had hoped.
I hope this suggestion helps going forward and that you are able to successfully enter the Guernsey address next time you are looking to ship to the tax free warehouse.
