The reason for me to use a forwarding agent is so I don't have the hassle with administration fees and tax/customs surcharges.
forward2me charge plenty for the shipping so I assumed the tax/vat/import was included.
(The value of the shipped product was low)
There are better forwarding agents out there that handle the import for you for a very little fee.

The extra charges from the courier and forward2me ended up to be the double the cost if I had the seller ship directly to me!

I used 3 time this service and their payment system is the most exhausting I ever use. Like sending your payment to "my invoices". I mean, thier website is not optimal. I'm trying for a week now to pay in my invoice but the touch "pay" dosen't work. And as per hasard, the touch "cancel" just below is working perfectly. The good point is that when I contacted them, the women I talked to helped me. So I first gave a 1 star but now I give 3.

Significant improvements are necessary. As a first-time user, I had high expectations, but unfortunately encountered a series of errors. I spent considerable time exchanging emails with customer service to address these issues. Despite inputting detailed information about my purchases, including tracking numbers, it took weeks for F2M to update my account to reflect package receipt. Even when updates were made, the incoming packages were not properly linked to the existing information in the inventory section. While customer service was supportive, the resolution process was slow, requiring frequent follow-ups to track individual packages that were marked as delivered but not updated in my F2M account. Despite being promised a discount code to compensate for the delays, the code didn't work, necessitating further contact with customer service. Suggestions for improvement include extending the free holding period for items from one month to three months, offering a fee-based service to photograph incoming packages, and providing more detailed descriptions of package contents. Ultimately, I've decided to switch to another provider. It's unfortunate, but I hope my experience can serve as a learning opportunity.

Initially posted a negative review because they kept my package that could not pass my countrys customs restrictions and was returned to them on hold for over a month and a half and were asking me to pay over 250USD of return chargez in order to return the package to the original seller so i could be refunded.
It’s true i wasn’t given a solution till i posted some negative reviews but Aimee from customer service reached out immediately and offered to cover the return charges and return the package to the seller so i could be refunded. The day after it was returned so i can only give her 5 stars!
However, it’s upsetting that I had to wait for almost 2 months for a solution and was only offered a solution when i posted the reviews. A bit of a bitter sweet experience but overall really thankful to Aimee.

Aimee responded to my initial email quickly. The UK warehouse combined, repacked and updated shipping rates within a day, which is was above and beyond my expectations. i could have preferred ebay shippping from Germany to Cyprus for 70 euros, unfortunately i preferred forward2me and end up in paying 240 euros. when informed the situation, customer service offered 20 euro discount and i kindly rejected it !! i still gave 3 stars as USA to Cyprus was ok. In reply they say “unable to locate my user name”.. it is exactly the same as written in here. I send the same information to them also. The reply was “sorry”.

In this case, the pricing for your shipment to your Forward2me Address aligns with our standard rates and is not considered overcharging.

I have check your shipment from Germany to Cyprus, just so you are aware, the cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and FedEx) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight.

I see on this occasion that we calculated the shipping cost based on the actual weight of 19.41 kg.

Very slow, very expensive and customer service not willing to help. After packages are delivered it takes 1-3 days until you see it in your forward2me inbox. Then it took 96 hours to repack and quote shipping, another 24 hours to ship it and then 3 business days to deliver by UPS although I had booked the most expensive 2 business day option for $ 72.65 for a small parcel of 2.5kg. In between I contacted support multiple times asking if they could speed things up as I needed the shipment urgently before my holiday. They made no attempt to help me, only inform there is a queue and it could take up to 72 hours. In the end the parcel arrived after my holiday, can’t return the goods so wasted a lot of money and time for nothing…
UPDATE: changed my rating to 3 stars after forward2me apologised, refunded and explained the background. I would still not use them for any urgent shipments, however, I acknowledge that my experience was an exceptional glitch so next time things should be faster and I shall not have to pay for expensive express shipments.

1. Your website advertised DPD shipping. When the time came to ship it, DPD was unavailable, and I had to use expensive one-day express DHL.
2. Other forwarding companies do not include the shipping price in the customs declaration. Because you included the shipping price in the customs declaration, the total value of goods plus shipping reached the threshold and I had to pay customs tax.

Update:
3. There is no easy way to know up front what shipping options are available for different warehouses. And when your package arrives at the warehouse there is no way back, you have to pay for expensive shipping if there are no cheap options available.

I wanted to order some heated insoles from Amazon.de that could not be shipped by Amazon.de to the US even with paid shipping. I used the estimation tool at Forward2Me to see approximately how much it would cost to have them forwarded based on the size and weight of the package. It was expensive, as expected, but I decided to go ahead with my order to Amazon.de and pay for forwarding.
When the insoles arrived at Forward2Me, there was a hassle about the fact that they have lithium batteries (that get shipped everywhere, all the time, with a simple notification on the outside of the package). Forward2Me apparently wanted to add a charge to me initially for the batteries (even though Amazon.de had shipped to Forward2Me free) as if this were something unusual. However, they backed off that (probably due to my Support person's intervention; see below).
Once the idea of an added charge for lithium batteries was worked out, what should have happened was that I would get to choose from a menu of shippers showing their prices and service times for my package. That did not happen. I was presented with one "option" with a price much higher (about double) what the lowest price shippers (longest times, no tracking option) on the estimation tool had shown. This brought my total price for the already expensive insoles to what was for me a crazy level, so I requested Forward2Me to return the insoles to Amazon.de so the purchase price could be refunded to my credit card.
In spite of the fact that Amazon.de offered free shipping on the return, I anticipated that Forward2Me would want to charge me something for their trouble.
This did not happen, likely due to the excellent support I received from Nica at Forward2Me throughout this time-consuming process.
Nica was great. I have run Support teams in my past corporate life, so I am a connoisseur of customer support and like to think that I know what I am talking about in this regard. Great job, Nica! And if Nica was great, probably the manager of the Support team knows what they are doing.
