The Buzz about Burberry

Chuck that grubby old anorak away! London Fashion Week has just finished and the new must-have collections for Winter 2013 are on the way. If you love fashion, get clicking and use your forward2me address in the UK to make your purchase. You can beat the rush and the trend if you live in the southern hemisphere. We can send you the very latest in clothes and accessories using our secure international delivery service.

Burberry Prorsum with Christopher Bailey as the Chief Creative Officer (sounds fancy) stole the show from the beginning. His collection of sexy trench coats with heart motifs, glamorous golds and sparkles to brighten up the dullest winter days had the press twitching from the start. The collection was inspired by Christine Keeler, the sexy 60s model behind the Profumo affair. You could use our UK parcel forwarding service to stay current and achieve this look with a few accessories such as a gold belt around a raincoat, large buttons or heart-motif-ed accessories, or for the real thing, take a look at Burberry itself...

Other trends to look out for are over-sized sheepskin aviator jackets, punk styling and tartan. Apparently tartan will be everywhere next Autumn/Winter so dust-off that kilt and sharpen those safety pins! Top Shop’s winter collection featured all of these. Rihanna also launched a collection for River Island featuring bright colours and tight-fitting clothes (no surprises there then).

One of my personal favourites were the night-sky inspired pieces by Matthew Williamson and Mulberry - glamorous and delicately sparkling prints of stars and colours and textures from the Aurora Borealis. His clothes are available from ASOS, Debenhams and net-a-porter.

According to Jessica Carter-Morley in the Guardian, ‘fuzzy is the new soft’. Many of the latest knitwear items are fuzzy and wiry. Cashmere has become too cheap(!) so unusual yarns and textures are the next big thing. Brazilian Lucas Nascimento used wraps of really fuzzy wool in reds and teals.

So if you want to stay in style, have a look online at the latest collections and treat yourself. If your international credit card is not accepted in the UK, contact our customer services department to use our personal shopper service. Next stop, Milan!
