Merry Christmas! The sales have started...
It doesn't feel like very long ago since we were wishing you all a Merry Christmas this time last year! Well anyway, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us here at forward2me in soggy Garstang. Thank you so much for being loyal and regular customers, and if you've just started to use us, I hope you'll be reading our messages this time next year too!
So have you got everything you need this year? Any last minute Christmas things you need? Are you decorated, present-shopped, wrapped and ready for the big day or are you waiting in the hope of some last minute bargains?
Don't forget the essentials like Christmas crackers, table decorations, candles and table linen. Choose some nice napkins or serviettes - we always end up with kitchen roll in our house. Cooking for guests? Has your old apron evolved into a new species? How many meals can you identify? If it's more than ten, perhaps you might need a spruced up one to cook Christmas dinner. If you haven't chosen any extras yet, take a look at M&S and Laura Ashley, as well as John Lewis.
Last minute gifts for loved ones...I always have a pre-Christmas panic that I haven't got enough and do a bit of a top-up shop for extras. Stocking fillers for the kids, extra treats for special people... I want one of those (iwoot) is good for tricky people, so is notonthehighstreet for interesting ideas.
Once it's all over, and the hangover has worn off, are you contemplating the sales? Most of the UK sales start on Boxing Day. If you haven't got the stamina, why not shop online and let us do the traipsing around with the heavy boxes of bargain booty instead. Just use out door-to-door tracked delivery service.
Hopefully Santa will have brought you a new tablet to make the shopping easier for you. The best sales are often at the designer shops like Mulberry, Selfridges, The White Company and Burberry. Check out Pure Luxuries too. For tech sales, Currys is good and there might be bargains from John Lewis and Richer Sounds. Simply Electricals are very competitively priced too.
Actually, now I come to write this, I've just realised how much I still need to do. I shouldn't be sat here typing away - I'd better go...Cheers folks, Merry Christmas!
