But what are the latest and greatest tech buys? We take a look…

Smartphones are up there in our list of most frequently shipped items. There are a few heandsets currently leading the way in terms of capability, functionality and features…

Including FaceID, OLED super-retina display, Animojis and Airpower, the iPhone X is one of the most wanted smartphones on the market. As it’s been around for a while now, it’s now possible to pick one up much cheaper than its introductory RRP.

Samsung’s Galaxy S9 is also at the front of the pack – with features including iris scanning, variable aperture 12Mp rear camera and stereo speakers tuned by AKG. There are also some great deals to be found on this handset – and of course second hand ones now starting to come to the market too.

There’s also been a lot of hype from android fans around the Huawei P20 Pro. With OLED screen, Dolby Atmos sound, dual SIM capability and Leica triple rear camera 40MP, Huawei have developed a handset that is a real competitor to both Apple and Samsung’s flagship phones.

Virtual reality headsets have taken a step up in recent months. One of the most sophisticated headsets is the Occulus Rift – a great choice for gamers. Featuring custom display and optics technology along with an integrated VR audio system, the result is a truly immersive virtual reality experience. There’s also an entry level model – the Occulus Go.

Another popular VR headset is the Google Daydream View. Offering a more accessible option to enjoy virtual reality, simply insert your phone and get started.

Whether you like to listen to music on your commute, when at the gym or simply whilst out and about, the technology and sound quality of headphones has come a very long way in recent years. Bowers and Wilkins are one of the leading high-end brands and have two great options in their P9 Signature leather headphones and noise cancelling PX models.

If it’s sports headphones that you’re after, don’t look any further than Optima’s BE Sport3 wireless in ear headphones. Now available at almost half their original launch price, these offer great quality sound at an affordable price.

Listening to your music on your phone is great, but nothing quite beats stereo quality sound. Bluetooth speakers make it easy to enjoy your music and with many of the leading models also being portable, you have the freedom of streaming music at home, at work or on holiday. Some of the best models around include the Bose Soundlink Revolve, Monitor Audio S150 and Cambridge Audio Yoyo speaker set.

If you’re into your photography, you’ll know that investing in the right equipment can make all the difference. If wildlife, sports or action photography is your thing, the Sony A9 features continuous shooting of 20 FPS and fantastic stability due to its 5 axis-in-body, making it a great choice.

One of the other market leaders is the Nikon D850. A DSLR camera with some high-tech features, such as improved resolution, sensor and processor, this model can also curate 8K time-lapse and boasts a tilt touch screen.
