Amazon Prime Day is on its way…
Amazon Prime Day is less than a few days away. This year lasting 36 hours, 2018 Amazon Prime Day will be on in more countries than ever before, with each country’s site having its own deals and running times.
Beginning in the UK at 12 noon GMT on Monday 16th July and running through until 11:59 pm GMT on Tuesday 17th July, Amazon.co.uk is set to have deals and exclusives across its departments.
This year’s Amazon Prime Day is more hotly anticipated than in any year and Amazon have done a great deal around advertising the shopping event, including pre-launch promotions, to add to the build-up.
So what deals will be around over Prime Day and how can you ensure you’re at the front of the queue to snap up a bargain? Let’s have a look at some tips…
Become a Prime member…or not
To benefit from all the discounts available, shoppers have to be existing or new Amazon Prime subscribers. Although having said this, some retailers may choose to take advantage of the surge in visitor numbers and offer their discounts more widely over the 36 hours. If you shop from Amazon a lot, it might be worth signing up for Prime membership so you can be sure to get the biggest and best discounts on Prime Day. If you’re new to Prime, you get 30 days worth of free membership – so what have you got to lose?!
Build your basket
If there are a number of items you’re interested in purchasing, it might make sense to start making your choices in advance, adding the items to your Amazon basket as you go. This approach means you have plenty of time to research and make the right selection of product without the pressure of a sale event. When Prime Day comes, you’ll be able to go straight to your basket and look at the savings you can make.
You can even add a few options to your basket and make your final choices depending on the strength of the discounts available during the event.
Shop the pre-launch deals
To build the excitement, Amazon has launched a number of early Prime Day deals. There are different deals being released each day – these can be viewed here. So far, we’ve seen cameras, electric toothbrushes, clothing, jewellery and more!
If you really plan to go to town on Amazon Prime Day, it would make sense to shop on Amazon’s apps to make shopping easier and swifter. Ensure you have plenty of battery and the latest version of the app. Then go forth and shop!
Any shopping you do at Amazon.co.uk during Prime Day (or tat any other time of the year, for that matter) can be shipped to your home address throughout the world using our parcel forwarding service. There are a limited number of products that are restricted for shipping due to import laws. If you would like to check these before you buy, please contact us.
